Do you think this laptop would perform well when playing GTA IV?

I know it's meant for stuff like GTA but GTA has alot of different complexities.

Sure, you could play GTAIV on that.

Probably not max it out, depending on what resolution the Laptop will support and depending on what the performance of the NVidia Mobile card is.

The card in that laptop is #96 on the performance list.

Like the test shows, you can play smoothly on Low/Medium settings. Playing on High or modifying the advanced settings for more view distance or car amount on screen will ruin your experience.

Remember this: Laptops are not meant for high end gaming performance in general. Even this Alienware laptop is painfully overpriced for the performance you get.

If you ever considered a regular desktop PC before, now would be the time. You could max out GTAIV on 1920x1080 with no lag, with the money your willing to spend.

...

Thanks alot mate, this has helped alot. I'm a student so this is the most optimum system I can manage right now when I'm on the move so thats why I'm opting for a laptop and not a desk-top. Thanks.
