would gta eflc work on my laptop?

specs
intel core 2 duo 2.0ghz
geforce 9600M GT
4gb ram

if it would, how well would it work? I'm not looking to have excellent graphics. Just a stable framerate.

also does gta eflc support gta iv mods

sorry, but you'd need a dual-core processor or any multi-core processor if you want a good framerate. I have everything GTA IV requires regarding the graphics card and memory, but my 3.2ghz single core processor can't handle the game, so I only get 15fps

That is a Dual Core CPU.

As for the graphics card, it probably won't be up to the challenge.

It will work fine. I played GTA IV on my laptop with a steady framerate of 30-40 fps on high settings and that was using the first version, I'm sure the newer patches include a lot of improvement. My specs are:

c2d p7350 2.0ghz
geforce 9700gts 512mb
3gb ram

Your gfx card is much better than mine though.

If only they released demos Oh well, I'll give it a go, thanks for your inputs. holy shit at the size of the game, 16gb on steam.

GTA4 is really dependent on just about everything in the system it is a resource hogg

I use to play it on a AMD X2 4200+ dual core, 2GB DDR, 512MB 9600 GT and had about 10 - 22fps then I switched to the specs in my sig and get anywhere from 40 - 160fps at 1920x1080, it was like Night and Day for me on that game.
