Problems modding GTA IV on Windows 7 64

Hi people I'm having problems puting car/mods into GTA IV.

The only things I can change is txt files handlings etc.

But when I go to edit Vehicles.img or other in that area I get this when opening with Open IV.

Access to path 'C:programs files (x86) Rockstar Games\GTA IV\PC\Models\cdimages\vehicles.img is denied.

I'm running on Windows 7 64. On my old XP 32 I use to have file that made all the modding work.

GTA IV patch 1.0.3.0

I anyone can help me it would be most great thanks.

Did you uncheck the Read Only flag under the Properties menu?

Did you try modifying the file with admin privileges?

Yep done all of that something else.

Google "nofication uac windows 7" and "taking ownership windwows 7" without the quotes.

Most importantly, make sure you're using an administrator account or have elevated privileges while modifying your files.

I have windows 7 x64 and everythings working fine. i had a problem up until i set the ENTIRE gtandtheftautoIV folder to not read only.

like, common/grandtheftauto4 << uncheck read only from that folder and it will make EVERYTHING unchecked, not just the individual files, and see if that works.

Yeah I tryed unchecking all the read onlys and when I go to open it again it's all locked

run SparkIV as administrator (right click - run as administrator )
