And one day you just woke up from it, living another life, doing different things, without remembering anything from your previous life, or in this case, dream. It doesn't make sense to me, and I don't want it to. I'm not into religions or whatever, so those theorys mean nothing to me. I often used to have discussions about that we were an experiment, when I was around 12-14 years of age. Like, we are a constructed, mass of land, and are being given problems, such as disease and cancers, nature-wise disasters, global warming etc, in an attempt to find ways to deal with these own problems in their "world". I'd try to elaborate that more, but I'm having troubles with my words right now. Discuss. edit: an experiment __________________ ![]() |

My oldest brother did the same thing and he went down one hell of a steep path of depression, drug addiction and alcoholism. There is no meaning to life and life is not just a dream. And even if it was a dream you'd still have to function like any other normal being or this 'dream' of yours turns into a nightmare. |

This is a discussion, I like hearing peoples thoughts, I'm not thinking about the meaning of life, I already have my own opinion on that, which I have no feeling to share. I clearly said "imagine". __________________ ![]() |

Another day, probably after this guy dies, I would be a 12 year-old in Indonesia, for example, without ever knowing I was in Egypt someday. Not your typical Karma's cycle of birth and death, but just for the lulz. I truly believe that we go somewhere else after this life, not Indonesia, not Earth, the afterlife as we Muslims know it. |

Anyway, it (obvously) reminds me of the Matrix. How the world WE live in is just a world inside another world where we really live. I'd think that since the universe is so big, millions (if not billions) of galaxies are out there and there are so many worlds that can hold life (and probably do hold life) is a possibility for an afterlife (more like re-incarnation). If we were to live again after death, the chances of coming back to life as something on Earth is extremely slim, with no memory or anything of course. The process repeats after death every time, yet more life seems to come into existence. So more... souls (i guess, can't find a better term for it) are coming into this world, possibly from another existence of either life or chaos. I think of life all the time, it makes me wonder and it also makes me happy. To imagine shit and think about what things could really be instead of this existence. @ Pablo Escobar Jr. : I'd think if someone is lead to depression, alcoholism, and drug addiction; their probably having trouble pulling their life together enough that they will try to lean on something that will take the pain of life away. That's weakness. Possibly giving up the fight and not trying to get on with life. That's an unhealthy life. FYI: This topic is right in my area of interest. |

I just can't wrap my head around it... like just, gone.. nothing.. nothing! I do like to think it's just a dream, or like I am being tested. That everything around me is setup for my reaction or something. __________________ |

I'm really not sure how I would respond if I woke up and realized that I was only dreaming. I guess the hard part of the answer is that we wouldn't or don't know what are lives are like (good or bad) when we wake up. There are so many variables to think about. |

As real a time as any have seen, every time I close my eyes,I see him as he lived, fighting in the skys where brave men live an die,to remember his friend whom he lost there one day long ago, they are now together again, this time they fly with angels...I'm certain for if any one knew the bond they had, surely it would be so.I'm not sure if there is even such a being, but my dream tells me to hope it so.To be with my dad and friend,is my dream now,I miss his strong advise,it kept me safe. This is was his passion,me,his love of a tough lady of the sky,his F-14 Tomcat...I can only dream of it,he lived his dream.I can only hold on to what he gave me.As I watched him take a silent, peaceful last breath,a happy man,not bitter, just movin on, I suppose,to another flight in his dreams of his lovely lady, old as dirt now, but still don't cross its path, you could win with the newer ladies of the sky,but you may cry home to your mom if you chance it.looking at dads old photos of his time at Fighter Weapons school, which the flyers call TOP GUN. R.I.P dad (adopted dad,but he who does the fathering...is Dad) Sleep well ~ sweet prince whilst I dream, your dream. __________________ |

Imagine you woke up in an even more realistic world. It's like how you dream of flying, imagine if you woke up in a world without walking. (Ok, terrible example... I'm tired.) |

but anyways when I'm dreaming, although i often accept ridiculous things when they happen, i often subconsciously realize I'm dreaming, and sometimes I'll remember something mid dream that happened like a minute ago and then i realize how ridiculous it is and then try to bend the dream to my will. but yea i definitely don't think our whole lives are "dreams" although it is an interesting thought. | |

But then again, I'm the only one who can say that I'm aware of everything that's going on, so it's impossible for me to actually know if I'm aware of anything. I don't know how to write it so you get my point. |
