Post Wrappers

I'm not sure if this has been an option here before, or if vBulletin even provides this without an additional plug-in, but I personally think it would be a useful addition. If you don't know what post wrapping is, it's basically an option that adds additional format tags to your posts without you having to manually entering them in each time.

So for example, let's say I wanted my post to like this:
Hello world!

I would add this to the post wrapper page: (would most likely be under User CP)
HTML Code:
[COLOR="LightBlue"][/COLOR]
All posts from that point on would have the format tags added to them. It's just a suggestion, considering some users like myself would find it useful. That is, if it's not abused.

No, it would be abused.

In my opinion, forums that allow that just look messy because of the mess of colours, sizes and alignment of everyone's posts.

It's much easier on the eye this way IMO.

I knew a forum where we could do that, it was awesome but like Mouldy Punk said, it was super abused and then disabled.

Well, I'm sure there could be some rules and/or restrictions set up pertaining to sizes, colors, etc. If a member were to disobey the rules, they would either get warned or even have the option removed from their account.

Again, it's just a suggestion.

Off topic: Wait. You're Asmodeus from GTAF?
On Topic: I guess, that would be cool.

I'd rather have everything simple like it is now.

If they wanted to add this feature, the only people who should get that option are legends. Even then, it shouldn't be abused.

Legends and mods, otherwise that would be pointless...

It's just a novelty, I don't see how it would be more pointless if legends got it and mods didn't, as long as staff gets to edit a person's wrapper if they abuse it. On top of that, it's pretty much a given on this forum that staff can do whatever legends can.
As for the wrappers themselves, I think that even if it's a small effort to add the functionality to the forums, it's just not worth it. If they're implemented for every member they'll be abused for sure, and legends and staff probably won't care enough about it to make wrappers worth giving just to them either.
Anyone who's that interested in giving all their posts the same special markup should just go through the trouble of adding it to their posts manually.

Seems completely pointless to me. As others said above, it looks messy and the current way it is now is much easier on the eyes. This post being a good example, red is ridiculously hard to read against this back round.

It would eventually get extremely annoying and cause strain on the eyes while you try to read peoples posts in a thread.

I like the forum as is, different color text would be hard on the eyes
