After a couple hours still driving blindly around the city and haven't even really scratched the surface of it. I haven't felt this way since I first picked up San Andreas.

Kuri is an unknown quantity at this point
My only two issues so far are the flying mechanics and no MP3 player of sorts trough the ifruit. Those bike rides on the mountain are so boring without music..

Other than that, this game is perfect!

This.

Besides Driving blind around the city, I've only done a lap on the great ocean highway and down the other side of the map. The detail is amazing yet overwhelming.

Yeah so GTA V is pretty awesome, had a few random encounters and stole $4000 from a bank van thingy. Gonna explore the countryside and desert more.

Stole a 747 for a laugh

To sum it up concisely: Holy fucking shit. This is what video games should be like.

After fucking days of corrupted PSN downloads I finally got it working this evening. First thing I did was take Franklin to the barbers and make him look like MC Ride. (google him if you don't get it.) I decided to steal a car to get back to his house but in doing so got chased through alleys and streets. I eventually jumped off a bridge into the canals of Los Santos, and there was something about the detail there that blew my mind a bit. Forget the downtown skyscrapers, the "filler" parts of the city, really don't feel like it.

Fast forward past a few missions, decided to save and then cheat, to spawn a stunt plane. I wanted to fly before I went to bed for the night. First thing that struck me is how beautiful this game looks at night. Completely opposite to the blurry, sludgefest that was GTAIV. Flew past Vinewood Hills and crashed into a lake.

I reallly love the checkpoints for missions. this is a big advantage for me when you don't have to get all the way back to the start of the mission and do the whole thing again when you fail it. I used to hate this about the previous games, which caused me to lose interest.

Very impressed with them doing this

What I especially like about this one is that if a mission is giving you a lot of grief, you have the option to skip it entirely. You get the bare minimum for passing, and you can continue on with the story, and you can always come back later and try again. (The option to skip doesn't show up until you've failed it 3-4 times, though...so you do have to at least TRY)

There's too much to sum up but one thing (among others) that I think is really cool is that you're no longer the only criminal around when free roaming. I was playing a tennis match vs trevor (he sucks at it btw) and while this was going on I heard all kinds of shouting and shooting on the background, cops chasing some robbers resulting in a pretty sizeable gun fight. Seen this a couple of times.

I also love the taunt option, got 3 stars for cursing at a cop and then beating him when he followed up on his threatning responses

Besides from the game, the other thing that's really impressive is the tech. The ocean and beaches look amazing, and that's one of the hardest things to simulate. Also, the realism of all the different ground-surfaces. Driving through dirt actually feels like driving through dirt. And walking through the snow at the start actually felt and looked like you were trudging through ~20cm deep snow.
