Yes, the 7970 is AMD's best single GPU card. Faster than the GTX680 and still $100 cheaper. Nvidia tends to have a little better driver support but that will change with the next gen consoles since both will be AMD-based. So basically all games will be built on AMD hardware for the next 6 or 7 years at least.

The Banner Saga: Factions

F2P turn-based online game on Steam. Dabbled in it for a bit. Got my ass handed to me first game. But I really like the art style of it and I'll give it a few more goes. Even though I lost badly; I had fun. Which typically isn't the case with most games with me.

I played some spelunky lately, bejeweled blitz on mobile, Assassins Creed on vita, Super crate box on vita. All of them excellent. Except bejeweled blitz's horrible UI and audio...

Bioshock is one of those games where the demo had me REALLY excited to play it and then when it came out, finishing it felt like a chore. So much backtracking.. I hate non-linear games in confined spaces. I'm sure Infinite will be a lot better in that regard since it won't feel like you're running around in a maze.

as long as Infinate keeps the same map system as Bioshock 1 and 2 I don't mind the Maze feel, cause it tells you what areas you been to an haven't with the Lighted areas and dark areas.

Funnily enough that's the last game I played.

I bought the HD remake in that crazy xbox sale and decided to play each for a short bit. When MGS3 came out, I was 13 and I'd already finished Sons of Liberty and last night when I played I was fucking terrible, I have no idea how my 13 year old self finished both Metal Gears but my 21 year old experienced self can't.

Going to play through them all chronologically though, so firing up 3 in a minute.

Amazing thing is, I replayed through MGS2 HD a few months back, and as Russ said, you notice soo many little things in that game which is later used in MGS4 and other games, looking back MGS2 really got an undeserved negative reputation around, seeing as it was the last true Metal Gear game in terms of infiltrating a base, having to use the radar, heavy codec use with multiple contacts, etc.

Played the new Tomb Raider a bit, really digging it, it is quite a change.

Before that, I played Peace Walker, I saw that it was on sale next to the last minute, never played it before, figured it would be a good time to finally fill myself in on it.

Exactly. I think there was a lot of people just not ready for the introduction of a new character. Raiden's role hadn't been really fleshed out yet and everyone was thinking he was too much of a wimp compared to Snake. Funny how so much was wrapped up in 4. I'm excited to see where Ground Zeroes takes us.
