Oh thank god, they've actually implemented a sort of money economy. You will now no longer have trillions in cash and absolutely no way to spend it apart from buying guns and casino shit.

3/VC/SA/IV all had this problem. You had absolutely nothing to invest in, it kinda became pointless to even have a money indicator on the HUD because you knew you could buy the entire planet and still have enough leftover to buy as many guns as you wanted.

-

View distance, improved from apparently 1,5Mile max in IV to basically being able to see the mountains from one side of the map to the other and streetlights from very high up.

Should I remove the links from my post? I noticed other people are having theirs removed and don't want to get the site in trouble or anything like that.

*I haven't read the article yet

The dynamic missions sounds the most interesting for people who like to explore the world a lot. Especially if they've beaten the game and many side missions (probably iterated from the drug wars missions in BoGT?)

I wonder how I'll play this game. One character till the end or always switching it up. New game +?

I kind of want to buy property. It gets me immersed in the world so much more. Liked it in VC/SA

I kind of wish there was romance too. I think some girls these crazy guys would run into would show interest. Girls go for dangerous bad boys all the time. BUT MORE TO THE POINT, I like dating because I think its a cool and semi-realistic way to handle bonuses (eg. calling a girl to lower heat)

Also, it looks like that RUSH casting call was, in fact, for GTA V:

Albert De Silva - now we know he's called Michael.
Kevin De Silva - name will obviously be different, but otherwise we can probably expect the profile to match. Michael's son.
Harut Vartanyan - (different name bla bla) probably Franklin's boss.
Nervous Jerry - this is most likely Ron.
Simon - probably Trevor.

Expect to see the other listed characters show up in some shape or form, albeit with different names (although I hope "Mrs. Bell" stays Mrs. Bell, and that Phil shows up at some point as a result)

I started reading about the character switching and I couldn't help but dislike the idea of it. But when I read the description of the mission that GI saw, with Trevor in the chopper, Franklin as the sniper and Michael being an absolute fucking badass, I smiled. It seems like something if done correctly, could be very, very good.

I'm also very happy that Franklin isn't a gangbanger, which is something I think people were just assuming because of his race. I'm going to have to call him Frank-Dog though, because well:

I really like all the descriptions of the protagonists, I need last names though dammit!

Just confirmed the demo and GI Screenshots are from the PS3 version of the game, which is good because Rockstar North had problems with the PS3 version of GTA IV.

Awesome news. Well it probably doesn't look so good when you have to keep changing disks during a press demo.

All this news is very exciting. I just hope they announce a pc version, and release it a reasonable amount of time after the console versions. I don't even own a console atm and i don't plan on buying one just for one game. Plus the game looks great on ps3, imagine it without all those compressed textures, 1080p and and such! Fingers crossed for a similar release to Max Payne 3.

Wow this makes me worried for the 360 version since this looks like a game that will push that little system to the core. The lack of blu ray is definitely a huge problem.

Isn't it rumored to be on 3 discs for XBOX 360? Wonder how that'll work if that's true.

One disc for each character, every time you want to switch characters, you have to switch discs

With a ton of compression they only just squeazed IV on the 360 disk, so with the scale of V compared to IV I don't know how they're going to do it, going to need to install from 2 disks and then play off a 3rd or something but I can't see those meagre 4GB Xbox hard drives storing this massive game.

We really need next gen consoles soon. Sony's '10 year plan' does not keep up with the speed technology is advancing. And DVDs ran out of room for games years ago.

I for one don't fancy shelling out for a next gen console so soon. The 360 and it's DVD discs have screwed up the scale for many games imo.

The map is the problem, that isn't curable by switching characters.
