What are the risks of changing car models?

I've been replacing the cars in my GTAIV, so to make it more European. My problem is that most models I want are meant to replace Blista.

In the meantime I've seen some packs applying cars to the wrong models, and some mods saying that it can replace any car. I was wondering, what are the risks of doing such a thing?

For example, I have a Fiat Punto designed for a SuperGT model, can I apply it on the Peyote. Both are small, two door cars.

I've searched a lot for this, but can't find any information.

Yeah some cars are like that for example I Replaced the Dodge RAM 2011 With another car and added the same handling and vehicles of the car but it still flipped while turning.
Any some mods are optimized to work with any car e.g Smokey's cars.
And yeah I've seen that Fiat Punto that's the most funniest replace I've seen in my life, I Guess there are better Punto's out there.
