Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City for Playstation 3 show up on ESRB site this week

scroll down a bit and you'll see them, no word on whether they'll be in the form of a HD Classics on Blu-Ray or Downloadable yet.

Sadly they'll just be straight PS2 Downloads, nearly all PS2 games in the past that have been re-published by Sony for the PS3 have ended up on the PSN under the PS2 Classics Label.

well they did the Splinter Cell Collection, Tomb Raider Collection and Prince of Persia Collection on Blu-Ray, so who knows, although you would expect San Andreas to come along with that, so you're probably right.

The thing is, us lot in Europe have yet to get the "PS2 Classics" line on the PSN, but the best example I can point to is "God Hand" which originally, was published under Capcom, but its listing on the PS3 is published under Sony and a few weeks later it launched on the PSN under the PS2 Classics Label, the sad thing about this is that it's the original PS2 versions, no improvements and just upscaled, you would think Rockstar would push out something for a least GTA3 considering the other port that was around.

I didn't even know PS2 classics are sold on PSN. I may have to go back to official firmware.
