Next Gta in... Paris ? Strange facts

Well Boston or any other location within the US wouldn't be plausible, that would mean the whole story would revolve around Packie McReary instead of a brand new character. Rockstar is known for bringing fresh and brand new characters to their GTA series so I would think the next GTA would be no different. Besides the chances for a brand new character and story arc are endless if you start off fresh, you could give the player the option to be a good criminal or bad criminal with multiple mission choices which lead to endless outcomes within the story, believe me, this is where their going with the series in terms of missions. The story missions that were most interesting were the ones where you had a choice, TAKE THE DEAL or KILL DIMITRI RASCALOV, mission choices are original to the GTA Series.

Also we must consider the money it takes to make these games and the various restrictions Rockstar had to put up with as of late to do these games. It would be much easier and cost effective to make your first two next gen games based on areas near your various studios, and in places your development team are familiar with. Later on in the series it would be best to bring all of the favorite locales and new locations to multiple discs, or one disc if possible, for players to play from the disc or hard drive.

I badly want it to be Vice! I'm having a strong feeling R* is taking the same direction in a whole new HD package as in IV.

Haha it would be funny if R* actually sends people to popular websites to make speculation about GTA being in Australia or Paris or w/e to mislead the fans and make some hype, but it turns out to be Vice City or one of the GTA Universe cities.

See, what people may not know, that picture of a mountain is ALREADY in GTA IV, it's in the Porn Shop, it's a spoof Volcano picture made to look similar to a Penis with the tree's being Pubes. So why they put that underneath this poster I'll never know, perhaps to lead a fake trail for fans to guess?

There are some really strong and potentially accurate theories here. Really good observations and connections. There are loads of references in the story line to 'Vice City' though. It's mentioned several times.

can't paris hold off till after a revamped Vice city! paris is cool and all but i dont know doesnt make sense with the whole gta1 thing rockstar has been following because gta1 had all 3 cities liberty city, vice city and san andreas soo i dont know where would paris come in? still it would be cool just after vice city then i'll be happy

yeah but I don't believe it will be only Paris, but Europe as a whole. I can't see it only being Paris.. really I can't

you would think they would choose an area notorious for criminal activity.. but the evidence is clearly pointing to France..

I'd much rather see VC, SA, or London redone to next gen standards though..

If they really want to relocate to Europe, Rome or Naples would be perfect. I don't think they'll pick London. In the first 3D generation, they took one grim city (Liberty), succeeded by a sunny one (Vice), so Italy would make sense in that manner. It could be great fun!

I prefer made up cities, one of my main reasons is once you start comparing the real life city with the virual city, you're bound to be disappointed. True Crime, for example.
