The only way I've ever been able to describe them is the modern version of 80s new wave. Others from Nebraska: Tech N9ne, Bright Eyes, Midland Trio, and a few others that I don't care to mention. Like both of your contributions, victim. There may be hope for us yet. Last edited by baleent : 3 Weeks Ago at 11:50 AM. |

Seems weird to post things from the US, even though that's where I'm from. I don't know anyone who is good at music and from Michigan. |

The song is by Arsen Petrosov, called Мой Сынок (Moj Synok, My son). I really like this song for the happy music and all-around jubilance that it shows. It really proves the spirit of Armenians (and people of the Caucasus) and how much family is emphasized I may not have translated it perfectly, but whatevs. A couple Armenian words are used here and there. "dzhana" is a common expression meaning "dear" and even "cute" nowadays

Of course this one isnt the song from my clulture but they are from my country so hope you guys enjoy it and dont forget to give your honest comments.. 1)You can download the song for free and i'd recommend you to download the full length version, dont worry, its very legal coz it was a promo campaign Bunkface - Through My Window http://www.everyoneconnects.net/site/mainpage1.aspx 2)This one i got it from youtube and im not sure whether you guys have heard it before.. Other songs from him are also cool with me (sleepy head, oh operator the line is dead, end of the universe) Jason Lo - Evening News http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xc2I3...eature=related 3) This one yes, definitely from my culture with our own language (malay). This song will be played heavily on the radio stations or shopping complexes especially during Eid ul-Fitr (a festive season) because it is the day when a family goes back to hometown to seek apology to the parents (grandma/pa) and to the other uniting siblings.. Basically the song is about the excitement of seeing family members at hometown (which is usually in the countryside).. The singer is now dead (since 1992) and we all missed him and until now every Eid, his song can be heard almost everywhere at any time. Believe me i will never know when will this song be replaced by other song because it was so synonym every Eid. My personal translations to the lyrics of the song: long journey back home but i didnt think so coz my heart is jumping with joy in unison wanted to meet all of my family members that i've kept imagining always all the time there i can see the greenish mountains and forests the sky is high and bluer than ever the whistling wind is forming some kind of music too everything seems to be in joy as well [chorus] going back home, oh oh oh x3 feeling so happy going back home, oh oh oh x3 feeling so happy cant help keep seeing those faces of whom i love one by one got stuck here in my heart surely my sore will pay when i meet them waiting by the gate for me to return back to them repeat http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=K45XOp8G6cY dont forget to give me your point of view about all these songs k? thanks. may peace be upon you. |

This is Hungry Kids of Hungary. A very 'Vampire Weekend'-ish sound they have. Lady of the Sunshine - It's Angus from 'Angus and Julia Stone' (An Australian Indie-Folk group). __________________ ![]() Last edited by victim : 2 Weeks Ago at 07:10 PM. | ||
