Playing around with GTA IV's Liberty City Map

Hey Guys, Happy New Year!

I've been playing around with the GTA IV map, added some chunks of land, roads, buildings and such. I just wanted to check with ya'll and ask you if it looks Ok, do the new areas fit in with the original ones ? does it look credible ?

It's only a test to see if it looks Ok, I'll make more maps from scratch later on. So, check it out, Liberty City 1.5:

Cheers,
Brotha

Not a bad start, it's funny, even though Liberty City is the most realistic city to date, I still find, after playing the game, that some areas are still too small compared to real life ones, Bohan should be much bigger and curve around the north of Algonquin, Middle Park should of been much bigger as well as most of South Algonquin, etc. It's weird, when you start the game it seems really big and amazing, but just like the past games, you wish it was just a tad bigger when you're done. I only feel this way after watching films and TV Shows set in New York though, for example, watch Die Hard With A Vengence, soo many areas and huge spreads in that film that are just not represented in GTA IV.

I know what you mean Ash, I get the same feeling after playing the games many times. It's probably just because you get too accquainted with the city that makes it small, cause you know in your head how small it really is.

Remember, Rockstar didn't try to completely replicate the entire city of NY like TC:NYC did with Manhattan.

Dude, I know that, just how I always feel after each GTA Game, that they could of added more to the map in certain areas.

Wow, good work! How did you do it? Like, what software? Although it's kinda like a small expansion, it looks more "wholesome" than the real map itself, especially with Bohan....

And everything was repetitive in NYC.
All the streets looked the same.
