gta 5 supporting apple?
As I assume all of us know by now that there is an ifruit app for the dog and car customizations for smartphones. But it is only supported by iPhones as of right now. Which has me slightly curious how much apple was paid for being exclusive. At least for right now. Any thoughts?

I doubt it. There are several reasons why companies, not just Rockstar Games, release iPhone/iPad versions first. For one thing, it's much easier to develop and test for iOS. There are only a handful of devices that can run iOS programs (iPhone, iPod, iPad and their several iterations), but there are thousands of Android devices out there, which makes it hard to test and accomodate all devices in the same amount of time.
The iFruit and GTA V Companion apps were built mostly on a platform called Cordova, which means you can make an app for multiple operating systems with one code base. My guess is Rockstar ran into a bunch of per-device issues during their testing of the Android version and decided it wasn't worth it to release yet. We'll probably see it soon.

Also, consider what the most popular smartphone platform is right now. iOS.
Makes sense to get maximum exposure as quickly as possible, then get the also-rans later.
Frankly I don't expect them to develop a version for my platform of choice (Windows Phone 8), so I'm out of luck.
