Having cable is such a waste of money. It's a shame I have to resort to "acquiring" these episodes rather than watching them live, because most cable companies don't offer an 'a la cart' type plan. Not paying ~$60 for 2-3 channels for a show that only airs for 2 months. But I'll support the show by buying the DVD's.
You also get these stunts the companies try to pull, like DISH Network. Taking away channels for no other reason than a skeezy way of advertisement. Didn't DirectTV also "threaten" to remove FX/AMC last year? Ohboy
Yea I read about DirectTV and Viacom having a disagreement so now all their channels aren't available on DirectTV.
My parents pay for the cable bill and they watch TV a lot more than I do. If I lived on my own I probably wouldn't bother with a cable plan and just get Netflix again. I really wish they could do more custom channel options for cable.
