I saw Scary Movie 4 and The Producers. Scary Movie 4 was rather meh, just too childish and unfunny outplayed scary movie parodies. A good thing was Leslie Neilsen's appearance as the president of the US, and Dr Phil's brief appearance. Overall worth seeing I guess, but not really a funny movie. You have to watch War of the worlds, Saw, and Hostel to really get the funny of this movie.
The Producers on the other hand was great. The remaking of the 1960's movie-musical about making a play about Hitler. Really funny, Mel Brooks never cease to amaze me. Great speed through the whole movie. Another great thing was Uma Thurman as the obligatory nympho swedish blonde, actually did a great appearance. Me, as a swede are tired of seeing american producers stack us with germans and dutch people, like Jamie Lee Curtis coming in german folkclothes in the movie True Lies. No, Uma Thurman actually did a great swede and I could actually understand when she spoke swedish
. The producers, played by Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick are two completely different characters and it is amusing to see how their worlds collide. And of course, you can't forget Will Ferrell as the german nazi who has wrote the play, "Springtime for Hitler". I laughed for about 10 minutes whenever someone greets him "I was never a member of the nazi party!!". Great movie, must-see! Even if you're not a fan of musical movies, like me, this is an exception.
