DLC - The First Wave

Rockstar posted on their newswire maybe about a week after GTA5 launched that they were already working on some free DLC, which would include new weapons, vehicles and clothing options--and that it'd be free.

My question to you all--what kind of paid DLC would you want to see? Would you like to see more stuff like that--weapons, clothes, cars, etc? Or do you want to see more substantial content, like extra missions, new random encounters, new or expanded storylines? R* has already gone on record and said big DLC packs like EFLC weren't likely to be in the cards, so I wouldn't count on that.

Me? I'm hoping for some cool new weapons, like a flamethrower or brass knuckles or maybe even a big broadsword.

More cars would be neat too, but I"m a car guy so I always want more cars. I'd like to see the Faction and Blista Compact come back, and maybe something that resembled a mid 60s Lincoln Continental.

I would really like to see more new clothing types and maybe some new missions from contacts like Simeon. Maybe some new apartments that actually have new interiors. I was a little disappointed that all of the apartments share three different interiors.

give us the heists already

In addition to Zidane's point itd be nice to have actual houses for purchase, preferably those beautiful homes in the hills. But I suppose thats hard to make happen because you cant close it off for free roaming players.

More cars! What happened to the Tampa? It was the only thing that made TBoGT playable.

More Interiors, that also cross over into SP, I'm looking at you Brightly Lit Casino on the Freeway!

I hope they listen to the fans for what's wanted. I'd like to see a mix of new jobs and missions (not so much on races).

There's also all that blank space on the right side wall in Ammunation begging to be filled up.

One thing I keep hoping for is the return of old vehicles from past GTA games. For me, I still really want the Deluxo to come back. Oh the fun I could have with that and a couple jerry can fire trails. ;)

Ooohhh the deluxo, would love to see that with proper gullwings too ^..^

The Blista is in the game, it's relative of the Honda Civic hatch.

It's too bad Rockstar won't be releasing any large DLC, as I think the heist angle for the main game would have been perfect for a Las Venturas expansion.
I know many people have suggested this before, and the idea is always shot down because it would be too much for DLC to add an entire city, but that's only if they made Venturas as big as Los Santos when it doesn't need to be. Real-life Las Vegas is over four times smaller than real-life Los Angeles, and while Las Venturas should probably not be that much smaller than GTA V's Los Santos, it should be possible to get the gist of the city in a much smaller package than necessary for Los Angeles. A Las Venturas the size of the one in GTA: San Andreas with the HD era's density and detail would be plenty, and within the realm of a $30 DLC.

Actually people were speculating maybe an extra city you could fly to like Vice City or even Liberty. If we COULD travel between all different cities... my god, I'd never play another game again. I could get my fix for free roam, online in a game with my favorite cities. Talk about a dream lol.

Ash_735 10-11-2013 01:53 PM

The problem with the other cities thing would be, well, the atmosphere stuff, radio, peds, etc, if they just had a city with the same peds and radio, well, it's basically like an early PC mod. And after TLAD and TBOGT bombing, I can't see Rockstar throwing down money for new material, cutscenes, radio, etc, I mean, even Undead Nightmare just about done well. Stupid gamers, yet COD Map Packs sell bajillions.

Zidane 10-11-2013 02:51 PM

That's true. But they do have well over a billion dollars to work with. I think adding at least one city, a couple extra radio stations and a few new peds would be entirely possible and within their budget. Especially if it were download only, and they charged well for it. Hell I'd pay $20 each additional city lol

dokujitsu 10-11-2013 03:17 PM

I think a fan service pack would make a lot of people happy. What does the majority want? Give it to em as much as possible.

I keep hoping they're still going to add wingsuits to enhance skydiving so you can fly legitimately without cheats.

A couple of SUPER minor things I wish were implemented... phone customization options... wallpaper, ringtone, etc. And I wish the character held the phone up to their ear like in single player. It's little details like that that really help make the experience so complete.

I called a friend in-game who was playing Grand Theft Auto V and he was playing as Mike, and I was in GTA Online mode. It was really cool. Little things like that make this game SO fucking extra cool.
