Anyone want the GTA 4 driving mechanics in GTA 5?
if you do, go and try to make it happen

This must be a joke, gta 4 driving mechanics were really horrible

The damage system in Gta 5 is also alot better than in Gta 4 so I don't know what the hell they're talking about with 'virtually indestructible'. Every time you're in a major crash your car is done for, undrivable.. sure it doesn't blow up but when have you ever seen a car blow up in real life after a crash.

The only things which bugs me from time to time is that high or even a bit higher falls causes the vehicle to explode. One of the things I used to do, when I was bored was to see how mangled up a car could get, now its impossible. Small thing tho.

I think the driving in V is a good combination of arcade and whatever they were trying to do in GTA IV.

Would rather see Max Payne's gunplay in GTA V minus the bullet time, MP3 has the best shooting mechanics Rockstar has ever done imo.

Dear God, no.

I like the way it handles a lot better in V. If I hit a pot hole or a curb, my car don't go flying out of control.

No. You struggled at first but you get used to it. I really like them now and the gta4 ones weren't great.

I would definitely recommend Burnout Paradise if you wish to spectacularly wreck cars (with realistic damage).

At first I said yeah but these new driving mechanics are so much funner

j_harvill 10-07-2013 07:49 PM

hell no GTA V mechanics are way better than IV.

chapalax 10-07-2013 08:34 PM

well i was hoping for a more realisitc damage at least, with cars gettin smashed not just dented, and soemtimes i see cars hittin head on to trucks or walls and driving away wtf is that

Tim 10-08-2013 01:37 AM

It is more realistic in several ways. To be fair the cars seem capable of taking a lot more damage but as an example you can crash into another car and it knocks their wheel off. If you damage the car too much the wheel drags and stops the car from accelerating well. These weren't in GATIV. (From what I can recall).

GTA IV is not fun to play outside of story missions because the driving's f@#&ed up.

Tim 10-08-2013 06:48 AM

That's a useless statement unless backed up with evidence. Otherwise it's just an option that could be wrong.

Lukeyy19 10-08-2013 07:03 AM

I was initially worried GTA V's driving would feel too arcady, but after playing it, apart from motorbikes at slow speed it's much better than IV.
