PS3 or Xbox360

What system are you getting it on? Maybe you want to play with your GTAGaming buddies. i'm TinyHunt on psn if anyone wants to play when the game is released.

PS3 here. :) And PC when that comes out. :P

360 for me, need to be able to chat to people who aren't playing this game.

Getting it for both but I'll probably open 360 because I can only assume that Microsoft will have exclusive time
frame on dlc. I just don't want to deal with multiple disks.

I doubt it. So far most exclusive stuff with R* games since 4 has been ps3. IE LA Noire, is the big one I can think of. play both if you're getting both.

Went for PS3.Look me up on PSN sometime after the 17th.

I'm still kind of torn. I preordered it for 360 (only because I prefer the controller), but now I'm starting to worry about the possibility of multiple discs. On top of that, I just ordered those Realtrigger thingies for the PS3 controller, and those might just solve the controller issue for me as well.

Did GTA IV on PS3 let you aim\shoot and decelerate\accelerate with L2\R2?

I'd prefer to play it on PS3. But i have two xboxs here, so if i got it on that i could play it upstairs and down... I haven't decided yet.

Yes, that is the default control scheme.

PS3

It's being demoed on PS3, which seems to indicate that the PS3 is the lead platform. Sony also announced a partnership with R* that will likely lead to more than just the headphone bundle.

Also I'm not going to renew my Live subscription. F that.

Yes, but RDR and Max Payne 3 included options to switch the aiming/shooting to L1/R1 if players proffered, so I imagine GTA V will also include that option.

Really? That seems pretty awkward with the way the triggers are by default. Since they curve down instead of up, I have trouble holding them down for long stretches of time, as I have to strain to keep my fingers from slipping off.
Just about to test the Realtriggers with GT5 for driving and Uncharted 2 for shooting. If I like them, I'm switching my pre-order of GTA V to PS3.

EDIT: sold. PS3 it is.

viljami323 06-14-2013 03:26 PM

pc

j_harvill 06-14-2013 06:20 PM

If R* announces time exclusive dlc then I'll most likely play it on that
console. I want to leave 1 ce unopened.

Lukeyy19 06-15-2013 05:16 AM

I'll be getting it on PS3, despite most of my friends getting it on 360, because most of them are making the switch to PS4 for next gen, and i'm hopeful they'll release it on the next gen consoles along with PC later on, then i'll be getting it on PS4.
