God help us if they put hidden packages in the Ocean.

Zero 03-27-2013 08:13 AM

Oh you know they're going to. Gives people more of an incentive to explore around. I just hope they're not as ridiculous as the clams from SA.

Realistic ocean with waves, really detailed ocean water and floor, cops hanging off the side of SUVs in chases, realistic weather... MINIGUN! This is looking great and fuck thats a big countryside.

victim 03-27-2013 08:41 AM

A tree is burning in the background of the minigun screen as well.

iKlipse 03-27-2013 09:20 AM

I thought that too but I looked closer and realised its behind the fence and the flame is only from the car.

codman 03-27-2013 10:08 AM

Full on scuba gear with oxygen tank? Fuck. Yes. Hopefully you can lose your wanted level by hiding out in the ocean.

We still have to get through the summer before we can even get excited about this. :(

The lightning and ocean effects in the first screenshot are amazing! I hope storms are that detailed in game. Also, im looking for ward to exploring dat scenery :3

I'm kind of sad that these screens look even more like gta4. They should have aimed for next gen and given us a fresh new look. Maybe not an entirely new engine, but something slightly different. I feel less and less excited about this game the more i learn about it. Being a PC gamer doesn't help. Can't wait to see some real gameplay though!

If the minigun pic is anything to go by, it looks like they're tossing out some of the unnecessary realism in favor of fun.

What would you have the game look like? Crysis? I'm just curious as to what your ideas are for the graphic design and fidelity of the game

For the size of the game I honestly don't think there's much more they can do with the graphics considering it's for console. The player models look improved, even random pedestrians, the LOD on distant objects seems cleaner, and the shadows seem like a massive improvement. I think for the PS3 and 360, it's probably at its limits.
