A little bit sadface when i saw that, but at least having a date is good :/

Havok_Jro 01-31-2013 08:35 AM

That kind of hurt me inside.

*sigh* This literally came from nowhere, I was only told three weeks ago that everything was on track, today we were suppose to get the Box Art, Posters Were to go on Sale at the Rockstar Warehouse and a Release Date.

We did get one of those, the rest are on hold til further notice, but what worries me, in the space of three weeks, something has caused the game to be delayed by FIVE MONTHS (told aiming for late April).

There no new Max Payne 3 DLC out, they have the main games on the PSN and GTA V stuff has been put on hold to be re-arranged to the new date. But what's the point of the Rockstar Website here? It has to fill a gap of a blank Four Months, I get the feeling we're going to be plunged back into the months of waiting with no news phase again. :(

The way they described the delay, "the game needs more polish," makes it sound like it should have only been a 1 or 2 month delay, rather than 4 months.

I'd be surprised if we got anything new before April.

This is bitter sweet, we get a release but it is a good 4-5 months after "spring". Who ever is in charge of Rockstars timetable announcements needs to be fired, first IV, then RDR, and now V. All delayed past expect release. Hopefully in the future Rockstar will learn to not release a timetable until the are 100% sure of it.

gtaperson 01-31-2013 09:38 AM

I was hoping for a third trailer today. :(

Do you think the sandy hook tragedy and the current gun debate had any influence on this delay? I can't help but think it did.

This is dissapointing

iKlipse 01-31-2013 01:22 PM

I wouldve forgotten what it is by then. Ohwell.

oppar 01-31-2013 01:42 PM

Very disappointing news, especially considering the fact that they were cramming Spring down our throats.

"2013" would've been enough.

Lukeyy19 01-31-2013 03:29 PM

I figured this was inevitable but this is a pretty significant delay to come out of nowhere, I wonder what happened.

Classified 01-31-2013 05:23 PM

I think we all sort of expected this, but like most people I am very disappointed by this news. I was really looking forward to playing this, especially because I would be out of school but now it will be released in the middle of school and I won't have any free time.

"more polish" is the equivalent of the "how long's a string" question. They could polish for 5 yaers and still have room to polish it more.

JiggyTurtle 01-31-2013 07:05 PM

I don't remember the last time a Rockstar game came out out time :P

Makes me wonder though, if part of the decision to delay stems from the recent debacle with that Senator being a dick and other stupid politicians and media folk going on about video game violence, thanks to a certain child-slayer. Given the attention span that the average American (and thus, media) has, I'm sure everyone will have "gotten over it" for the time being, come September.

Always possible.
