Massive GTA 5 information leak from Ex-RockStar Employee
edit: added info to spoiler incase the article is taken down.
another 'ex Rockstar Employee' leaking information.
yea I dunno whats going on with the game industry, someone got fired from Bethesda earlier as well and leaked DLC info for Skyrim too.
anyway this is a front page news worthy info for GTAG but should be taken as rumors since its not official.
It's not front page news worthy because it's unconfirmed rumors without a real source.
I hope a lot of it is true, but the taking drugs stuff doesn't seem like something Rockstar would do in the sense you could just have stuff whenever.
China Wars had a sort of buying/selling system for drugs didn't it?
That's true, but something doesn't seem right about it to me, in terms of the mood of the game, but hey, I'm not being forced to take in-game drugs :P
The military coming back and still searching for you is a good idea as well, and customisable guns is an idea I put forward in the thread so if that's true I'll be happy. I think weapon customisation adds a little RPG element to the game that isn't too ridiculous (such as getting fat in San Andreas), and actually has a real benefit to you and the missions you're about to do.
This seems very legit for some reason.. and this is coming from a usually very skeptical person. Here's some more info, apparently horses, among other things, are in. Might just be a well made early April prank though. I'll take down the link if the mods ask me to regardless:
EDIT: Actually, nevermind. "Playable demo on E3" got me thinking it's bullshit. Rockstar would never do that.
Know how I know this is fake?
1) The characters mentioned are from the casting call
2) Multiplayer has already been partially revealed and does include XP
3) Taking Drugs is a feature Rockstar have never put into their final games but is always on these fanwank lists
4) Same goes for Speeding, Rockstar have never included that as it tips the fun balance out to more annoying measures, but again, is always something that appears in these lists
I'm actually surprised we didn't also see the usual "Vehicles will have Gas that drains and needs to be refueled" one that's appeared on every rumour list since Vice City!
I reckon it's fake.
It'd be cool to have them features though, and I love the idea of police arresting someone fitting the progtag description.
But ever since GTA V has been announced, loads of Rockstar employees have been fired.
Albert De Silva was a name made up by a member at GTAForums, called Sibs44, months ago, all the way back when people found Ned Luke, along with this "leak". Its fake.
The map only being 5 times the size of GTA IV seems off to me from rockstars posts and the trailer, it looks to be a lot bigger than that.
Also surely being fired doesn't mean you aren't still bound by an NDA that all rockstar employees i'm assuming have to sign, no way would they include a clause in it that says "if you are fired this doesn't apply anymore". fired employees are the most likely to spill the beans, they'd have that covered.
A lot of this I could actually envision taking place in the game, even things like speeding and drug use. With appropriate execution they could bring a lot of value to the gameplay experience.
E3 demo, that was the fly swatter to the fly. Not Rockstar's style with GTA, too grand an experience.
And the one protagonist vs multiple? The first trailer featured that CJ-esque character way too much to be a coincidence. Or Rockstar is really fucking with our heads. I could kind of see that.
I hope its true.. Sounds tightt
I stopped reading as soon as I saw the E3 statement.
They aren't E3 friendly.
