News just in; nobody cares

You may remember that a while ago there was a class action lawsuit against Take Two because of the whole hot coffee fiasco. Take Two agreed to pay people who were offended by Hot Coffee anywhere between $5 and $35. Turns out, despite the millions of people who had the right to claim that money, only 2,676 people actually did.

Surely this confirms something we knew all along; Hardly anybody gives a shit about the content of video games, and the majority of the people who claimed the money were actually just after free money, they probably hadn't even heard of hot coffee.

Why should we care now that GTA IV has it in your face and not deep in the programm so you could heck and find it.

The difference is the content in GTA IV was rated while the stuff in SA was originally not seen by ratings boards.

So... Millions of punds/dollars were lost over this, then all they had to give away after that was about £93660. Wow. Just thinking R*/T2 would be pissed that they lost this money over 2,000 people "being bothered"

Yeah nobody cared what was in hidden in the game. The normal person wouldn't be able to find it anyway. I bet all the lawyers that wanted this must be angry, nobody gave a shit.

I just hope this hot coffee thing, isn't preventing rockstar from releaseing GTA4 on PC.

I just bet they are going to put some kinda lock on any possible way to mod the game if it does get released

Yeah, which is bullshit because Rockstar screwed themselves.

They left the code there, they left it there thinking nobody would find it. Until PatrickW came along and the media decided to whore the game for it.

They can't blame us, the majority of the players for their bullshit mistake. Take the blame and take the fall next time.

They did take the blame and the fall. Did they go after PatrickW for it? No, not really. Did they lose a class-action law suit against them? Yes. Did their game get re-rated to AO until they made a 2nd edition? Yes.

R* took the grunt from the media for it all, they took the blame for it all and didn't blame anyone.

All i tried to say was that Rockstar better not remove our ability to mod the game in case a PC version will ever be made. Just because they got sloppy and didn't remove it in the end. Don't let them punish us.
