The problem im having with vice city is this. I have GTA mod installer from vice city hq.com and i installed a lot of cars.. i have the dmagic wheel mod. everything was working good but when i start a game then the screen freezes at 3/4's of loading and i get this

man, i remember getting the same message, but i forgot what it was, it's been a long time since i played this game
you need to take off some of those MODs, i once changed EVERY signle vehicle in VC and i was able to play like that for about 3 days, then my VC just collapsed...i would just keep the cars to a min.
yes but i have only like replaced 10 cars, How do those people who make mods like Killer kips vice city mod fit all those cars in there???
well, im guessing either it's a bad car file and you cant use it because it sucks, or maybe your just replaceing the wrong car with the MODed car.
im not to sure, i have given you all i got, ;)
im just gonna reinstall it and use normal cars, i have had enuff trouble cause of those car files. I just waste my time on them, im gonna stick to self installed mods.

YES! ZERO IS RIGHT! I remember my game crashing while loading and it was because if you mess up on the handling or default files your game will definetly crash, i remember exactly

I have changed EVERY car,van,truck,heli in VC and it works fine the only problem i have is that some cars look like blocks until you get a bit closer to them like 6 car lengths but i think this is because there is no long distance texture with some mods.

Always check if the handling file and default file have the capital leters in the wright place, i had almost reinstalled my game. It crashed because the handling file didn't started with a capital letter.

if it stops 3/4 while loading, it's a handling.cfg problem
or
a missing line in either the handling.cfg, carcols.dat, or default.ide files
Basically the simple explanation for this if you have Dmagics wheel mod installed is that you have too many 3rd party fles installed in your game. Dont worry there is nothing wrong with your game it happens to everyone. Just replace your mods with their backups and everything should be fine. And if worse comes to worse you will have to install GTA Vice City again.

i have no clue what that means... but if it freezes while loading the game, it's a problem with one of your data files (either a missing line or incorrect values)
it's not a problem with the default.ide file unless there's a missing line in taht file.
It meens if you have dmagics wheelmod insalled but your still getting unhadled exception it meens that you have to many modifications in your game.
