It'll come out on PS2 but not on XBOX or PC, Oh well, im pretty sure they will come out on both consoles, but it's gonna take longer !!!!

Probably not on X-box but who knows...PC is almost certain as it'll probably come a bit late after the PS2 version.
When did the Pc version of Vice City came out? WAn't it may? a year ago?
Then iw would be probably may again.

Luckly i have a PS2, because its bad enough waiting till october the 19th for the PS2 version of San Andreas, I don't want to wait even longer for the PC version.
Remember how inferior the PS2 version was to the PC version of Vice City though ;)

SA for pc is going to be probably better than ps2 version.its going
to be like the vice city they checked what people liked and disliked
in the ps2 version of vice city ,and then they add or change some of the suff in the game.
then you have to wait for another long time I guess.
But.. PC versions will always be better, since Rockstar has more time to upgrade things, and make them better etc etc...

The only problem with the PC games is having good computer hardwear. I dont really want to buy upgrades every year just so I can use MODS. I will probably buy SA for PC anyway but it will be a little anoying when I have to buy a new gfx card just to play future GTA games.
OMG, what is worng with you people...you DONT want it for PS2? I could care less what system it was on...shit...even if the game came out for god damn PS1 i would go buy a PS1 and play it...thats how much im willing to play this game. But, damn, you guys sound hella pissed that it's only for PS2....well, i think i might have a solution...lemme think.....hmmmm....how about.....you.....go buy a friggin PS2!! it's that simple...i wouldnt waste my money on XBOX, it's just a step down from a PC...so all i need is a PC and PS2...and im set...im not missing out on anything, and i feel really sorry for you if your one of those people who are waiting for it on XBOX....man, do you have years to wait, lmao.

the pc version is due in um....hold on let me check the site again oh wait...my bad. i thought the rockstar site had the PC date. but that's just europe. it will probably be at least 6 months to get either version. but you can buy a refurbished or used ps2 for like 129.99. that's not that expensive.

Trust me, just get a PS2. GTA is the best game ever, ask anyone. Otherwise just wait till GTA: SA releases on XBOX or PC or whatever system you have, which will be a fairly long time. ;)

My Theory:
Well they are gonna make the game for PS2 first with bad graphics and slow Processor etc. etc. because of PS2's menial(whatever that word is) system.
THEN after the stuff up they will create the BETTER version for Xbox and PC which will include Downloadable Content and better graphics and making sure it will go 60fps constant.
leaving ps2... gay.

No! Only R* knows whether it will turn out shit or good for PS2. I don't think that this time R* will dissapoint any PS2 users. That's why they're taking a long time with the game. For Vice City, they rushed it a bit and some areas of the game were somewhat sloppy.

I agree. The conversion process takes some time (me thinks). Think of it that way, we each pay $50 for the game, heck (can i say heck?) some of will buy the same game for different consoles (maybe if youre rich :D), think of all the money they get out of it. (Was it 11,000,000 copies of VC sold?)
My point is.. for all the money they get, the least they can do is hurry up the process IMO :)

The next GTA (a.k.a San Andreas) wouldn't come out on PS3, because it was anounced that it will come out on PS2. Im almost sure that the Next GTA (after SA) will be on PS3, because the PS3's said to be out in 2005, which gives R* more than enough time to make the Next GTA on PS3. :)

shut the up bartuc....jesus christ....we've had this discussion a million ing times allready and i'm sick of hearing you bill's boy's bitching and moaning about how great xbox is. yeah it's more powerful but it also came out a considerable time after the ps2 did. so therefore they had time to see what the ps2 had as far as hardware and make some minor improvements giving it a slight edge over the ps2. and only a slight edge. the xbox has crap for games to tell you the truth. and the ps2 has pretty much the best game lineup you could ask for. so yeah i can "hack" that it's better. but if it's so great then why has the ps2 sold over 7 times more than the xbox??? explain that...

Current pc's will suck compared to PS3 but by the time ps3 comes out pcs will rule...pc hardware is developing ALOT quicker than consoles by the time ps3 comes out 512mb graphics cards will be average

because your a whiny bitch who whines about "how good the xbox is, and how it's sooooo much better than the ps2." and the ps2 hasn't sold so maney because it's a "fashion console". it's sold so many because sony has built a loyal fan base and they have some of the most sought after games on the market like GTA, GT4, FF, KH, etc....etc..... they will keep on destroying the other consoles because of that. but not that alone. the gamecube is good too...i love it infact. i love the mario games, the zelda games. plus i cant wait till MGS twin snakes is re-released on it. and also i don't think the ps2 is the greatest console ever so far. i think the super nintendo was. that was a great system with games i still play to this day. and if you can't accept the fact that the ps2 has sold more than the xbox then shut the fuck up cuz i'm sick of "bill's boys" whining nonstop about how they don't get enough respect.

I have no console (except GBA), 1 PC. I used to have an XboX but sold it after 2 months because I was spending too much time on it and paid no attention to other aspects of life. Like school, work, parents, girl friend... Now that I have been XboX free for more than 2 years... I really miss it. I used to have a Super Nintendo and PS1. But also gave them up... Well, what I want to say is: Sure, PS2 has more games than XboX, and XboX IS way more powerful than PS2. But it all depends if you're gonna like the games or not. For me, I'm not really a big RPG, Final Fantasy person... I don't even play that much Japanese games since I find it too time consuming. My friends and neighbors all have PS2s, and no matter how many games I play on it, nothing could ever blow my mind like the first time I picked up HALO. We all have differnt taste in games. Many people like casual games, others like hardcore games. People like Japanese RPGs, but for me, nothing, no game is better than HALO. I've recently bought Vice City for PC. Finally got my own mansion. I wanted to find out more about San Andreas on PC so I went here. Little did I know, I had to read through a freaking console war. You kids should know that given the chance, all of you will pee your pants over the chance of owning all 3 consoles. But you don't, for whatever reason (maybe your parents wont but them), you only own 1. So you do your best to bash the other console to make yourself feel better. You type a bunch of crap online that you know you will never have the balls to say it to eachother face to face. Its not the first time I have to sit through this, its been going on back in the days of Sega and Nintendo. I am sick of people who talk smack over a keyboard. When will you kids learn tolerance?

R* and Sony have an exclusivity contract of some kind.
Sony pays a large sum of money (which R* could use for
production, lets say) to have the title released solely on their
platform (at first). This tactic benefits both companies as R* has
the funds to develop the game (it costs millions nowadays) and
Sony will sell more PS2's.
They did it with Vice City. Want to play the best? Buy a PS2.
Its rumored that one of PS3's launch titles will be the next
GTA title after GTA:SA
Marketing wise it is financially sound. Sony gets to stick the
PS2 logo on every ad for the most anticipated game titles
of all time.
As an exclusive PC gamer I find myself chomping at the bit in
anticpation but I know eventually it is well worth the wait for
the PC release. I have a high end machine so I know the
graphics will be better than a console and thats not including
the use of MP3's. The Mod Community will spice things up and
insure there will be plenty to do and try when CJ is done owning San
Andreas.

I have a PS2 and a Gamecube, I like both and I would also like an Xbox, but I think 3 consoles is a bit much. I do have a PC but I can't be bothered to upgade it every 3 months to play the latest games so I use consoles for games and my PC for 'serious stuff'. But all the ppl who can't wait for SA to come out on PC, why not get a PS2 too as it'l cost the same as the new graphics card you'd have to buy (probably) then save up for when the PC version does come out.
I'm sure not waiting for the GameCube version!!!!!!

Bullshit, if it says Playstation 2 on the box, it's playable on EVERY Playstation 2. Old models, new models. The only difference between the old and the new models are the new models have other lasers and make less noise. But you can play San Andreas on EVERY Playstation 2, once again.
