360 Video Playback Problems?

Don't know if anyone has posted this yet, but if you're having trouble playing videos on your 360 (Both WMV AND AVI [DIVX, XVID]). Main problem actually getting it to recognise the video, or having the video shown just not playing (The grey film strip followed by Not Able To Play This). I've quickly found a work away around this, rename the files, the Xbox doesn't like spaces or any other seperators (-,_), so just replace them with a dot (.) and it they will play fine.

Not sure, that's the only quick temp fixes I've found. I have noticed some videos work if you re-download them however.
