He looks hideous with that bump mapping.

He looks blocky.

They're giving a teaser trailer after a decade. Hmm.

Wow, after so many years! I thought they shut down the project already.

You guys all suck. It's freaking Duke Nukem, you idiots.

Aside from the intro and ending titles, and 2-3 Final Cut white flashes to accentuate music beats, the teaser is 100% captured from in game via Fraps.

Hope you like it.

Guys just to manage expectations...

This is a teaser. It's not a full blown trailer like the 2001 trailer (but something like that is coming). I tried to be clear about that in the message board post, so just bear in mind that it's a teaser :)

Enjoy.

I wonder how good this game is going to be. I wonder if it will be good or over the top good.

For a game that has been development and anticipated for so long it has to be at the very least one of the best games of all time.

For style I kinda imagining a Live Free/Die Hard kinda style with this game.

this will either be the best game ever made or the worst game ever made.

Best game ever made? Are you sirious? If it doesn't give me goosebumps, it's not that great.
What about GTA? God of War? million other games semm better to me.
Not that it couldn't be fun, but best game? I'd be careful with what I'd say. ^_^

Er, GoW isn't the best game ever made. GTAIII? Maybe. GoW? No.

I was just saying that since they've apparently been working on it for about 7 years now.... it better be the best game ever made.

(also, GTAIV isn't out yet so it doesn't count lol)

Neither is Duke Nukem though.

Mazz, they have been working on it for Seven years because they canceled the thing multiple times and have been constantly porting engine to engine as far as i can recall.

Lack of funding and general demotivation is a bitch.

Porting from engine to engine may really suck. I hope we don't see a bunch of dated gameplay mechanics.

Same here, I just hope it ends up playing good, graphics don't have to be amazing.

Actually, they announced it on April 28th, 1997. It was originally supposed to be released almost ten years ago.

From Game Revolution (http://www.gamerevolution.com/manifesto/view.php? id=415):

When Duke Nukem Forever was announced on April 28th, 1997, this happened in the meanwhile:

1- The entire Grand Theft Auto series. Yep, even GTA 1&2 before the landmark GTA3.

2- Britney Spears entire career (would that we could make that go away).

3- Nine Legend of Zelda games, not counting remakes.

4- The entire Sims series.

5- Every Metal Gear Solid game.

6- An entire generation of consoles came and went - the PS2, the Xbox, and the Gamecube.

7- When Duke Nukem Forever was announced, there was no such thing as Google, eBay, or MySpace.

8- Windows 98, Windows ME, Windows 2000, and Windows XP all launched, and have all been replaced.

9- Every single English Pokemon game.

10- Every movie in The Matrix, the X-Men and The Lord of the Rings series.

This game has 10 years of hype to live up to :/ People have been referencing this game every time a project disappears, Hopefully the game looks better than that horrible trailer.

Amazing, all that has happened in 10-11 years and they still can't manage to make a normal game.

Heck, give me a small team of game developers and we'll make something sparkle.

That trailer from 2001 looks like a game I would've loved back then.

Too bad there's not much Duke in there.

Hah, World War 2 took less time than DNF. Though I believe more people have died during that period :(
