I'm sick of the countless threads that discus swimming. So i've made this thread and poll. This should finish all the swimming threads off forever :o . Vote and give your reasons in a post. Dont go off topic and don't vote multiple times. I've read 'sleeping with the fish' or whatever but i'm bored of it. Thx anyway.

it would be dumb, it wouldnt make sense to swim, the game is ALMOST flawless without being able to swim, so i voted: NO! None Whatsoever!

Yeah, shark attacks should be in the Next GTA Game. And once a heli comes to rescue u you have a cast and crap and theres a time limit to when you have to go back to get it taken off.

harharhar. good. but I posted this somwhere else too: in an interview Leslie Benzies rockstar north's producer said that you will never see swiming in any of the upcoming GTA titles so you never know really.

I think somebody once said that the water is something players are afraid of and swiming would take that away so come to think of it I say swimming for a time limit and if people really wanted to swim for a long time then they could put in a cheat to do so.

Their should be swimming because I hate when you drive off the road and hit the water and die or jump out of a heli when its about to explode and die off drowning, I HATE IT WHEN YOU HAVE TO START OVER AT THE HOSPITAL BECAUSE YOU DROWNED HOW STUPID, ITS PISSES ME OFF.but oh well i gotta deal with it

I think he should be able to swim for a limited amount of time, as in real life. After a while you'll have to take five.
But no missions that require swimming, that's stupid.

I think there should be a sunken ship but you would only have a cirtain amount of air and energy to get to it. Or you could get a scuba tank and you would have a really long time to swim under water. A submaring would also be cool, but you couldent explore tight spaces.

I think swimming would a nice addition BUT you can get it ONLY when you get 100%, no cheats should be made to give you swimming abilities before you get 100%....

The reason why swimming would suck:

GTA is very easy, actually, I practically only get killed my falling into the water. Swimming would make it even more easier.

GTA has his originalities. you drown in every other GTA game, so I think you should be doing that in the next one too.

You could go to all the parts of the city immediatly

So, maybe as an 100% completion reward, yes. But then, not longer then 10 seconds. Just for saving yourself when you fall in the water near a shore.

Why?Don't you hate it when you've just finished an important mission and you just by bug happen to be trapped in the water,a foot away from the shore,and you drown and lose all weapons only for being in the water up to torso?

A lot more work is needed by programmers for bikes(bicycles)than skates/roller blades...why do they call them that anyway?

In a pool if you crouch w/ ur head below the water level,you can stay alive forever and in the ocean you drown up to chest.If you really look w/ur camera down below pool's water lever you can clearly see it's empty beneath the surface.lol

I think the concept of swimming would be fun.

Only for ten seconds though! I mean jeez, swimming underwater? Sure with a scuba tank or submarine, but not swimming! I mean, I don't want my main man Tommy Vercetti being some athletic world swimmer.

But it would be nice to get to shore, and not drown waist up in the water.

Drowing is basically the only way to die in Vice City. what if they took that away, the game would be too easy. You would only die from gunfire.

Maybe, if you beat the game you can get scuba-diving gear as one of the rewards so it wouldn't be a problem. I'm just saying NO SWIMMING during the game but only if you complete it 100%.

Yea i voted yes, for a time limit, i think only this because if you crash or land in the water then you can get to the land quickly thats all. Not go searching for stupid treasure or anythings like that.
