after you get keys and use them to get into places, do you need them after you have already initially opened the door that the key goes to?

example: mages guild key. after you use it once or twice o get into the mages guild, do you still need it afterwards to get in? i have too many keys, and i'd like to get rid of some. Thanks!

For stuff like the Mage's Guild, I don't think you do. But if you have keys to people's houses or shops, you'll have to pick the lock each time you want to break in should you choose to get rid of the key.

You can't get rid of the Mages' Guild keys anyways.

Use the Skeleton Key. Just ... I don't know, power level until you're level 10, then do the Nocturnal's Shrine quest.

If you would have been playing on PC i could give you a simple console code to remove keys.

I had tons of items left that were no use to me and couldn't drop them, so did it via console and problem solved.
And you can solve pretty much any bug in the console or via the PC editor

I thought places stayed unlocked, I know minor doors, To unimportant places do, I drop all of my keys expect, Mages Guild and the quest ones. Hasn't affect me at all.
