does anyone know if it works on the PS3 or not?
I'm thinking about getting it and I sold my PS2 a looong time ago, was hoping it was compatible to the PS3.

Unless there's software emulation for it, then no. I heard the 40GB will have NO backwards compat at all.

Nope, you have a Retard Europe PS3, Sony removed BC for PS2 games because were from Europe and Sony always shit on us. Thank you Sony, who wants to use a PS3 to play games anyway?

I have a 60gb PS3, the game works fine for me. Though I'm not sure about the 40gb version.

How can you not be sure about the 40GB version? Sony confirmed they took out the ability to play PS2 and PS1 games (that arn't downloaded). The retard model is usless unless you want to watch films or play PS3 games.

Well I didn't read up on it or anything :P. If it isn't backwards compatible it seems pretty useless if you want some PS2 games.

You know what's worse?
Sony confirmed that 40GB is the new worldwide model so you can only buy 60/ 80GB versions until they run out.
One of the most painful decisions I had to deal with, I was going to pick up an 80GB but now where-ever I go I'm seeing 40GB only.
Oh well- 7th December = Uncharted + PS3 (hopefully I'll find 80GB, if not, just 40GB will have to do, I'm in UK so that's why I have to wait till 7th DEc for Uncharted to come out).
Also- A nice side note for you guys.
If you get the 40GB PS3, a flash card reader, a USB hub, it will cost less than $100!
So that's nice.
If you want to upgrade your HDD to 80GB though that's around $95 I think.
Don't forget it has to be 2.5" SATA drive HDD.
Bully was GREAT, I loved it so much but then SUDDENLY (literally in a snap moment) I lost interest :/

just shell out the 99 for another ps2.
its not like its gonna take up any space and plus some of the best games were on ps2 so i'ld say its worth it.

You could probably get a used one for even cheaper than that. It would be worth it, too since Bully is one of the best games of last generation in my opinion.
Or you could try taking back the 40 gig and getting the 80 instead.

Actually 80gb's sticking around in the US if i'm not wrong. They got rid of the 60gb and 20gb versions and brought out the 40gb in UK, and 40gb/80gb in the US.

They'll obvioulsy have a new SKU with the next price drop. I wouldn't be surprised if the 40 gig goes down to $299 next year and the 80 or some other SKU (120?) will hit $399.
