Well, I came across some new games and had to remove Vice from my HD. Because the de-installer failed, I was forced to remove it manually. So far so good.
Until I recently decided to install it again, and it kept repeating the de-installation programme. Every time I double-click the setup.exe pic on the CD-Rom, it gives me the same old stupid "are you sure you want to remove Grand Theft Auto: Vice City from your hard drive" message.
How can I bypass this?

go into your 'windows' folder and into regedit.exe . then search for anything to do with gta-vc.exe and vice and delete them. hope it helps :)

Sorry for the bump.

I got this when entering the registery. However, no trace of GTA:VC or Rockstar Games or anything is to be found. The uninstaller still returns every time.

I'm going to change my sig to show my system specs, if that is of any relevance, and more help is required.

In Holland, where I live, I still need to pay full price for this two-year old game, so buying a new copy sure would be a drag.

Woohoo! Thank you Know Buddy! It worked like a charm!
Welcome to the forums!

This thread can be closed for all I care.

Thank you for pointing out the registry too, Colonel V.

hehe no problem mate, and thanks know buddy for telling exactly what to do. This registry bit should be in a sticky thread.
