easy way around modding v2

Hi, I'm new to modding and have version 2.

I wasn't until yesterday i found out i should have been having crashes but wasn't. I didn't know about the downgrade or workaround and found it on the GTA wiki

I have been modding the hell out of the gta3.img file and a few others but have not had one single crash or no start.

I installed the v 1.01 no dvd fixed exe right off the bat because i like to protect my cd/dvds.

I wanted to post this info because i started to see questions about downgrading and modding v2.

this is easiest way around rockstars no mod atempt.

Use the Downgrade Patch (http://grandtheftauto.filefront.com/file/GTA_SA_D owngrader_Patch;74661) to turn it into a moddable v1.

thats just it.

I am modding it without any problems. Changing the .exe to V 1.01 removes the code that looks at the file size and causes the game to crash
