Yeah i think there should be a VCMM database on GTA gaming too, on the main news page or homepage they sometimes feature a VCMM mod but then they just seem to disappear? like the Merc 4x4 and now the VW Golf has gone too  I'm not very good with manual mods:( there is a good selection of VCMM mods on Brokenfish's Mod Shack though.

No, there was a Merc 4x4 m155 on the GTA gaming home page for about 1 day i managed to download it but then it disappeared  perhaps someone knows where you can get it? or knows what happened to it?
I seem to think you're all joking about needing VCM mods in the database.
But if you see mods disappear its because the authors have asked us to remove them, and we are always inclined to acquiesce to their request.

Can someone tell me whats wrong with VCM mods? As i'm new to all this computer stuff, and i don't have a degree in computer graffic design unlike some people, i'm still learning my way around a computer! but i can play guitar like Jimi Hendrix & i can change a cambelt on a merc SLK twincam :p I'm alot older than you guys and computers weren't as common as they are now when i was your age! and yes i can remember the eighties very well :D

I think there should be
So what you're saying is you'd like to see the database split into VCM and manual mods. Right, I'll look into it, but it'll probably be a big job and it'll take a while. Might come along after we get some GTAIII mods up.

yes, vcm packing is a looong process. i personally hate it. but i dont see why people love the vcmm so much. i guess it's convenient, but its easier on the webmaster if people just use the gta mod installer.
Personally, I hate the mod installer, it may be easier on me, but I don't mind creating VCM's. It's even more secretive and complex to the end user than VCM is.

i guess you're right. i dont use any of them :P
my gta mod installer is screwed up, and i can never find good vcm downloads... so i just accept the fact that i'm going to have to install them manually.

i have another negative comment about vcm - its always bigger than when you use zip or rar.

how does that work? If you zip / rar-ify them, they're meant to get smaller!!!
