View Full Version : Weapon sprites after mod

I noticed that a lot of weapon packs that mod the machine guns often switch the textures of the micro_uzi and the tec-9. Grim's 3rd weapon pack is the mod in question. When I switch the textures so that they match the original names by renaming the .txd and .dff files the sprites don't come along for the ride. So in-game the weapons match their original look but there are no sprites in the top-right corner to accompany the weapons. It's not a big deal but if it can be avoided that would be nice.

Edit: How do I open .txd files? I have always wondered.

Edit: Nevermind, my lazy ass found a 'txd workshop' and solved the minor inconvenience.

You goto open the txd and change the name on the hud/sprite, for example u want the tec9 as micro_uzi u change tec9icon and tec9icona to micro_uziicon and micro_uziicona.

The "icona" is the alpha texture.
