In other words, time for a reinstall buddy :(
This is a frequent complaint of VC mods. GTA 3 had the same problems, and I haven't seen anyone come up with a solution to the freezes/'unhandled exception' errors.
Installing mods successfully seems to be a lottery. You just have to keep track of what mods you've installed. Do them one at a time instead of a whole bunch, then it'll be easier to eliminate the bad mod.

well i had this same problem about a week ago...and what i found was that i was downloading some gta3 cars by accident cuz they were in the vice city section and they made me get this...also some vice city cars have some problem with them and make it crash...id replace all the original vice city cars and install cars 4 at a time..play for a few minutes, find all the cars you installed, drive with them and then go install 4 more cars and so on...you can pretty much filter out the mods that will make it crash this way..worked for me

GTA3 cars can still work. In the Handling.cfg check the following values:
-braking anti-dive (should be between 0 & 1.0 from memory).
-abs (0 or 1)
-Percent Submerged - default values for cars usually 70. I tried zero but it crashed.
Some weird out of range and alpha-numeric values can be found in these fields when you add GTA3 cars.
If you have Numtel's car stats editor it's easier to change. Just don't change bike or boat data coz this can corrupt the Default.ide file.
Also check in Default.ide the wheel code for the car is valid (eg 249 if wheel is included with the car and you hav dmagic wheel mod. If not, a generic type like 253).

You should back up your save game files before installing mods, you know. I figured to do that when I messed up my game too.
