We may be able to get the edge on a few sites, though everyone could know this already.

If you know a bit about flash, you'll notice that when the timer ends, the splash will redirect you to this page:
http://www.rockstargames.com/IV/index2.html

Now, of course that page doesn't exist right now, but chances are they'll put it up a few minutes early. So, if we check back on that page a few minutes early we may get the trailer just a FEW minutes early and beat the rush and the long download times :D

You can try this yourself, go to http://www.rockstargames.com/IV/ and wait for the splash to completely load. Once you see the LEGAL link at the bottom, right click on the giant IV and hit PLAY, it'll redirect you to the page linked above.

also. Do you have any idea how many people will be looking at the page even with 30 min away? The servers are still gonna burn unless they add more bandwidth

I'm sure R* have ample bandwidth... They know how big this is and they have learnt from similar things in the past lol. Tthey may first divide people by their location and route them to different servers to reduce the load or something. Hopefully it all goes well though, am looking forward to it :D. Thanks for the link.

Give you a bet they upload it on a different page than that and change the link the clock leads to at the last second.

That wouldn't work, they'd have to upload a completely new Flash file which wouldn't affect the countdown unless the user refreshed the page in their browser.

We might find that index2.html doesn't contain the trailer, just a redirect to another page which does. The trailer page could already be uploaded (in fact it's pretty likely because they'd have to test it), but we won't be able to access it until index2.html provides the bridge.

Try not to spread it around the internet. We may not be able to get on ;)
