OK, I know the big topic is mmo but I wanted peoples opinion on (imo) the other "hot" topic of this game, would you guys like the character customizing or would it take away from the story?

Well, it would be nice to a certain extent.
In SA, the haircuts were pretty irritating sometimes.
I would say they could have customization but not overdo it, or probably have a new method.

I wouldnt go as far as changing the race, because if it has a storyline like SA with african-americans, you wouldnt want CJ to be white and have a black brother and friends. That just wouldnt look right. I would, however, like to change hair, tattoos, clothing, facial features, etc. but nothing too big as Mjuboy has said.

I would like a customization style like in The Godfather, it was done very well there I thought

Thats what I was thinking, clothing, tats, hairstyle thats fine. I was thinking more of the race ,gender, height, weight maybe even age kinda thing. More in depth.

Yeah, gender, race, height, age. That I probably wouldnt like. Weight was slightly customizable in San Andreas, because you could fatten up your guy. Age cant work though, because of kids getting brutally killed in a video game.

I would love it if it doesn't affect the game alot, think Saints row or Tony hawk. And people commenting on your clothes sucks. Some clothes people call ugly, where I live, look awesome! R* will surprise us probalbly. (lol play as a dog)

Tbh, I wanna see the amount of customization San An had with some tweaks. Like, for example, mulitple clothing combinations (say, t shirt over a long sleeved top).
BUT, I don't want to make the character totally customizable (i.e. Saints Row). Set character would be good.

I agree with LM. Have a set character. And then some massive tweaks you can do to him. Like instead of having a hair/beard combination make them both different categories.

Customizations is great, identity altering isn't.

I'd like but I don't think it's gonna be anything major, probably just like SA with some upgrades.

I agree. The Godfather had a great customization scheme.
