Until the trailer, and we haven't seen any screenshots or heard any information.

Anyone here think Rockstar will give us anything in the coming days? I say no, as we've seen nothing the whole month and it's pretty obvious that the 29th will be the day we hear it all. This is what I expected as soon as the trailer was announced.

What a long ten day this'll be.

yeh man, the trailers definitely is going to be the beginning of it all.... I just hope the Trailer gives us a clue as to when and where.. fingers crossed that it not guna be a tease of a teaser!

I just realised that there was only 10 days left when i read your msn name before LM. :)

The first 20 days went quickly I suppose. School has me pre-occupied.

Yeah , I kinda thought that way when we 1st heard about the trailer...Rock* is handling this one to a planned strategy....it could be a good sign they have made a speceil game so far an want to maximize its potentail :)

It's certainly getting excitingly close. :D I agree that we almost definately won't see anything before the trailer, otherwise why would they make such a big deal by having a countdown?

It's possible that along with the trailer release that day we may also see the launch of the site with some screens and info, perhaps the blurb at least and maybe even the boxart.

I suspect 3 screenshots, a synopsis (blurb) and the trailer on the same day. Maybe the trailer will come a day sooner than the other two though. If they update the site it won't be a complete overhaul, they'll save them for August, September and early October.

It's much more worthful to wait 10 more days to watch the trailer, rather than anything else leaks out, in the mean time.

I was at LEAST expecting the storyline before the trailer was shown, looks like that's not going to happen.

When you look back at it, this is a first. No info, no screens, no story before the first trailer. I must say, I'm not a big fan of this new "plan" that R* has, and I can almost see why Terry Donovan left.

This is GTAIV, it's got to be "a first". They've got to do things different and part of that is the pre-release marketing. It seems odd that the VP of Marketing would leave because Take2/R* wanted to change the approach for GTAIV.

Remember, we're getting the first trailer in March! With post GTAIII games it's been dribs and drabs of info/screens from March-May and then the trailers start in about August. I'm sure once the trailer is out we will get the dribs and drabs then, which is still seeming alot earlier than previously.

Once the trailer is out expect the first magazine articles to come out. They will have the first screens and a synopsis.

i like this approach. gta sa and gta 3's way of leaking screenshots i wasnt too impressed, because people saw it n kinda forgot....well i know i did

You know, had it not been for the Stories games, there would be a shitload of hype of GTA IV right now. But people are bored with GTA. It's as if there is a new one every year and it just gets old. This is GTA IV, this is supposed to be "the big one". But right now, it's just not the same.

They're not hyping it as much as San Andreas or Vice City right now.

However, I've been pre-occupied with a lot of things this year, so its not affecting me really.
My days are going fast anyways.

Yes, they should. If they don't offer anything new in GTA IV then the whole genre will get so boring.....maybe the online feature rumor? But then people will complain that they left the game's principles. Anyway, I think R* will stun us once again like they did in each of the trilogy's games.

Although I can relate to this to some extent, I have to say:

Give it a chance guys. :P There's hardly anything to be excited about at the moment, just a logo and a promise.

All I'm saying is wait and see how you feel... things could always change.

Agreed, I can't wait to see the trailer, but hopefully they will release some extra information a few weeks after the trailer debut. That will hype up IV even more.

You're probably not excited right now because you've gotten used to seeing the countdown and you know when it's all going down. You were excited at the start of the month because this was sudden news, as I was.

But you'll probably be pretty excited when we get the trailer and all the information floods in. I was crazy - excited when all the SA hype was going down here. I hope IV is the same.

Rockstar won't release any information before the trailer. It makes the trailer a lot more shocking for us.

I don't think these 10 days will be too hard to wait out, I mean I remember saying a few weeks ago "This is going to be a long March" well it has really flown by.

These last nine days are going to really hurt.
Only because of *my* situation.

So it's sort of weird. I can't wait, but on the other hand, I'm don't really want the day to come.

The suspense isn't all that bad. It's kind of fun seeing as GTA IV could be absolutely anything at this moment in time.

Haha. Fair enough. Speaking of which I need to get my L's before July. I've been putting it off for a year now and there changinng the rules so you have to do 100 hours instead of 50.

But still, my point original point is suspense isn't all that bad. Some speculation that's going around is great. On the contrary, I want some clarification.

There's no real countdown I suppose. But the countdown does vary depending on time zones.

the official time that the trailer will be available is on March 29, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time.

So it will actually be March 30th for Australians and New Zealanders I suppose.

The trailer can't be appearing straight after 0..

Unless they have some way of it checking the server time before loading, I really don't think it will be the exact time.

If it was the exact time, they would have made it based on the server-side clock, and not the end user's.

I agree that it probably won't be some sort of instant trailer-appears-as-timer-reaches-zero thing, but I would assume that within minutes they'll have it up. They could easily be ready to go prior to the release time.

They probably have a guy some where ready to get the trailer started when the countdown hits 00:00:00:00.

Just hope they can get it on the server before the masses arrive. The site will be bogged down like fux.

Well, its 24:00 or 00:00AM (GMT) which ever way you want to look at it.
So, Australia is 15 hours behind GMT, so, the time you will get to see the trailer at will be: 9:00 or 9:00AM on Friday morning.
