The first one is quite nice really. It would be a good map to mod the GTA3, VC and SA together.

The only one I've ever seen is the first one. Some look quite good, though some just look, horrible.
Also, I remember the 'Official Fake Maps Thread' here before San An came out :P

I really like that hand drawn one that combines all of the GTA cities. Definitely would be a fun gameplay area, just not as an official one for GTA IV.
I've seen #1 and #3 already. Else are new to me. :)

Actually, I don't mind the third one. The cities look immense, with a lot of countryside inbetween.

I doubt that, thats like paying for the GTA3, VC, and san andreas a second time. GTA4 will be 100% all new I hope

I may be wrong but I believe the 4th one is based on the Godfather Map? Some of them are good, but in the 1st one Vice City and Liberty City look way to small. The Old Ghost Town is about a 5th of LC, that must be one big ghost town.

The person who drew it had to keep it in proportion so it looks small but the drawer must have thought that it's small in proportion to the other islands.

Because they felt like making it nice. That would be like asking an artist why they spend so much time on one piece, because they take pride in their work.

I think the second map is friggin sweet, I wouldn't mind that being the official one at all. That must have took a hell of a lot of effort !

I personally like the 3rd. The smaller grids clearly represent huge cities. I hated San Andreas because the cities were too small with too much woodlands in between.

I wondered that also, just looked like satelite images from pieces of cities. it would be cool if gta4 actually had an offcial map like that
