View Full Version : Where Will You Be When The Trailer Is Released?

Took this idea from GameSpot's current poll. So where will you be during those final few minutes before the trailer is released in a few weeks?
I know I'll be at the computer for hours before it launches and constantly refreshing the page :)
Probably just gonna watch it when I can, whether it be as soon as it's available, five minutes after or the next day.
Not saying I won't watch it asap, just that I don't mind if I can't watch it right away. So I vote #2.

I worked out it's gonna come out either when I'm at school or at midnight. If I'm at school I'll have to wait otherwise I'll watch that clock tick.

Just a reminder everybody's clock is different. Yours would be two hours ahead of mine LM. I'm guessing it's about 3.30 in New Zealand right about now?
Edit: I just set my clock so I could watch the final 10 seconds. Took a while to perfect. And all I got was a restarted clock. Bummer.

It'll be 12 noon on Fri March 30th for me (& LM) so I'll probably be at home so I can watch it sooner rather than later.

I'm pretty sure I'll forget about the trailer. Then read in some gaming site that the trailer has been released and I'll rush to watch it, save it on my computer and put it on my mp3 player so I can show it to people who haven't seen it.

Might have to convert it from SWF first ;)Flash is usually used as a cover over some video files. Most of the time you can find a Quicktime copy of Rockstar's trailers.

Thank God the trailer will be released a good couple hours after I get out, otherwise I probably would pretend to be sick.
I know for sure that if GTA IV is only a midnight release, then my parents would either be dicks and not drive me out (or I drive with one of them out since I'll have my permit by that time)to go pick up my pre-order at midnight, or wouldn't be able to get a lot of playing time because of them being dicks about school in the morning, so I'll probably negotiate a way to stay home that day.

According to the countdown timer (http://www.rockstargames.com/IV/), there will be 25 days to go at midnight to-night, so 25 + 4 = 29th at approx 23:00 Thursday night.

East coast USA will be 6:00 PM on the 29th, but it could end up being 7:00 PM if daylight savings has an affect on it.

I'm honestly thinking about doing it :P I haven't had a day off this year, I haven't been 'sick' in about 3 years, I deserve it :P
But if mum somehow sees through it I'll just wait 3 hours until I'm home.

Thats perfect timing for me. If i get the chance, I will probably try to watch the last hour on the countdown tick away. Ill just do something else in the meantime and check the time every 10 minutes or so. If I cant be home at the time, then Ill just watch it as soon as I get a chance.
Sitting in front of my computer screen. My girlfriend will be over, but she will just have to shut her bitch mouth for a while and let me watch my trailer.
I mean, I love her, but GTA IV comes first.

Nah, they won't require one for the trailer, plus there's not supposed to be a site launch or anything for that.
If I'm at home, then on the computer waiting for it to hit 00:00:00.
Bet it won't show immediately though. They'll probably delay it for further suspense.

Yeah, they're going to have to upload it, since it's not included in the flash, so there may be a few minutes delay. Hopefully the site won't crash because of all the activity :P

Really? I could of sworn they would offer this as downloadable, like wmv or Quicktime format.
Me personally, I'm getting it from the Marketplace in HD so I'm really pumped. I will probably watch it like 5 times a day until a new one is released :)

Just by the way the site looks, it seems like they'll just throw the trailer on it in a flash file.
The other trailers mostly used Quicktime.

Well yeah I know that, but there's never been such a hyped up trailer for GTA before, or a countdown for one 28 days ahead of time. It seems like Rockstar will make it so you can jump on the site and begin watching immediately, not waiting for a download.

I'll probably do something else.. maybe even be in school or something.. or is it gonna be at 01:00 here?? oh, then if it's saturday, I'll get drunk and watch it tommorow.. if it's a new school day, then I'll be asleep and watch it tommorow.. so in any case, I'll watch it just the next day :)
