What kind of properties should next game have? Are there any properties in particular from Vice City you would like to see again in next GTA? What are some new properties you have on mind for next GTA?

I would like:

(From Vice City)

auto dealership (like Sunshine Autos)
strip club (like Pole Position)
mansion (like Vercetti Mansion) (maybe in Beverly Hills-like section of city if San Andreas is the city for next GTA to take place?)
film studio (if next GTA's set in Los Angeles-based San Andreas, it should be appropriate)
nightclub (like Malibu Club)

New ones

Pizza Parlor (It hasn't been buyable or acquirable in Vice City but it might be neat to buy or acquire)

Limousine Services (a place where you can take Limo side or R3 mission by picking up people. It's sort of version of taxi except you drives limousine and that you get fares higher than in taxi) (it also might send limo take you to place where you previously done mission but got busted or wasted, replacing taxi as transportation when brought this asset) (It might give you some choice of limousines in different colors like black or white or something)

Private Airfield (where you can take plane and fly it and maybe do some mission after buying this asset)

Any other ideas, anyone?

I think they should have almost everything buyable. Then if they implement gangs you can try and take over other gang's territories. It would add some excitement imo.

Talomg over gang's territories... interesting ideas. I haven't thought of that. You're genius! LOL :) Anyway, I doubted Rockstar Games would actually make "everything" buyable since that would make a heck of memory "hogs" or something. Uh, I think someone here know computer better than me and can explain why it won't work. Would anyone who does cares to go forward and explain it? ;)

that would be cool if you could take over gang territory . that would open up alot more missions such as killing gang members who rob your stores or who do drive-bys. the possibilities are nearly limitless.

Yea but they wont include all of it in GTA 4 IMO. They will prolly include half, then wait and include the rest in GTA5 if they even have one, so they can make more money. I just hope the graphics are fun and ur able to create ur own car/gangs.

I love it when you see your own gangs (in this case of Vice City, Vercetti gangs) walking around your properties and engaging in war with rival gangs. It makes you feel powerful and rich (virtually, since they don't seem to affect your money. They were just in a sense your paid soldier even though your money isn't deducted. So you're kind of virtually rich even though you may not actually have any money left). gang wars are certainly interesting and fun to watch and to join. I prefer the wars that involves Vercetti gangs since they're on your side.

You wouldn't need to much memory for properties, especially since most of them would be residential. You could even increase or decrease rent from them by carrying out missions such as money collecting.

Jay Legion

Rents is an interesting idea as well. What are other possibilities with properties or gangs?

Having some sort of powerplant or switch where you could shut off power in a certain area. Then this will shut off the lights in stores, subway, tram, and traffic lights. this could start a riot and ppl running all over the place. Then eventually a crew comes to fix the problem :) . That would be fun. If they do add this, then it would also be cool when your robbing a bank, like the cameras shut down (if they have any). If you rob the bank while power is still on your face would be on the news/radio or something like that.

God so many ideas, better wait to add more.

I don't really recalled such any gangs controlling power plant in real life although it might be possible. I have no clue.

also it would be kool to have a school so you can go inside and take hostages!

the last thing i want is to be a pimp and the hookers pay you and stuff

It might be cool to buy some media buildings, and after you do so the radio stations start airing adverts that promote your other businesses.

Drug plantations would be nice to own, too.

Then some more 'legitimate' businesses, which are really just criminal services in disguise, i.e. a laundrette that will take care of that dead body in your trunk or whatever.

Maybe, and this is at the top of the scale, you could even buy small islands. They could have an offshore exemption from the law, so you can do what the hell you like on your private island without getting bothered by the police.

Perhaps that's a bit too far though....buying something like an oilrig might be a more realistic idea. Yeah, you could become some kind of billionaire oil tycoon.

What are businesses that gangs usually controls in real-life? All of the kinds of businesses in Vice City controlled by Vercetti gang are commonly found among gangs in real-life. I know many gangs do counterfeiting businesses. Many gangs in real life also controls nightclubs (Remember Jack Ruby, anyone? Jack Ruby is the one who shot and killed JFK's assassin Lee Harvey Oswald. He's also the nighclub owner who is connected with mob). Also they usually owned casinoes, and others as well. What else they might have owned or controlled in real life? It may be either "fronts" or illegal businesses they may have operated as well.

In Vice City I think it's a bit boring when you get too rich. There's just not enough challenge. So how about the option to buy REAL expensive mansions for say... a couple of milions. Then there should be all kinds of secrets and bonuses and stuff. Like weapons (as downstairs in the Vercetti Estate) or cars like when you get Lance's Infernus.

I also think it would be cool to buy a car to be placed on a certain location.
Again, like Lance's car. Or like the Oceanic outside the first place you get.

Sorry if this was a litte off the topic.

- great idea i do think there should be more than just one mansion maybe like 4-6 at least ya kno...

-Also you in kno in gta3 how they had the huge residental area on shorside vale i think there should be a whole are like that in gta4

-they should include the gang houses like the cartels with the gates that didnt open for anyone else ya kno....very koooll

-maybe they should have more than one nightclub also and at random liek a limo pulls up and drops off these people in suits ya kno to make it more real

well thats my ideas

Oh that's fine, you were on topic, Rastaman. You both have good ideas. Keep cranking out ideas!

Tucow i disagree with the vercetti owning his own basketball team and football teams and etc... this isnt the NBA lol this is Grand theft auto.. where we kill, steal, do jobs, make money, and bang hookers..:)

But i like the other ideas with the trainyard and i really want a casino and whorehouse would be fun maybe not so much a 10 story mall though :mad2: and i really want more nightcluds than just one!

This dicussion shall be extended once again to thrid issue: cars. What kinds of car should next GTA have? Also, should the next GTA have both black limo and white limo instead of just white limo? It's kinda boring to have only one color choice for limo. Also, is anyone for limousine "dipped" in other unusual colors, such as blue, red, etc? :) Keep talking, you guys! :) And how about garages, as well? More! More! ;)

What do ya think about this? You can buy certain land and then goes into some kind of menu to decide what to build (I don't mean by building piece by piece but rather just selecting the type of place you want built and click or press to have it built instantly) certain places such as auto dealership, taxistand, etc. all pre-designed (in order to avoid Sims thingy) and once you selected that, you won't be able to select that again once you buy another land. Of course you can have autodealership number one and auto dealership number two and on and on. This allows you to decide where that property should be. It should not replace idea of existing property that is buyable. Next GTA could mixes them together. Heh, you could delete pre-existing building (and watch for the fun as it collapses but it might cost you some money) and replace it. Who know? Possibilities are limitless! :)

Actually, you don't start with a city of nothing. Just SOME empty lots to buy and fill in. City will have lots of buildings like usual in previous GTAs but it also have some empty spots where you can purchase and fill it up with a building of some kind such as taxistand and etc. I'm not really for city hall to build or whatever no. I meant buildings you usually associate with what GTA is about, such as auto dealership. But I think you already get that, just in case anyway. But yeah, it's little tough in the case of GTA. But I guess we'll just leave that to Sin City, who know?

I also have another idea as well. In next GTA, you could purchase a auto dealership in which you could still race in various race course and also complete stolen cars list to unlock some cars. But you could also buy some cars as well. I kind of like to spend money on things so it would be nice to buy cars as well. Also, in next GTA, it should let you buy gas but only as novelty, as originally intended in Vice City but removed later in that game. What it means is that you don't really have to buy gas but it's just . . . a novelty anyway. That same apply with food . . . hmm makes me think of Italian pizza ;) Anyway, there should be much greater business opportunities in next GTA than in Vice City. I also am beginning to appreciate the non-linear mission structure, as recently I have begin to play Cortez mission, Cuban mission and Avery Carrington mission as well. The discussion here shall be once again extended to mission.

Current discussion in this thread: cars, gangs, property asset, and missions.
