Stuck on a mission

I need a bit of help with a mission guys, im stuck on the mission after the one one where you steal boxes of ammo off a train

the mission is called Robbing Uncle Sam and you break in and you take some ammo(its the national guard) i think, its down at the docks in los santos

Your talking about "Robbing Uncle Sam" where you enter the military part of the docks and steal the crates with the forklift and put them in the back of the van and get away from the patriots?


Eh, its easy once you get the hang of what you gotta do.

1st. Make sure you got some weapons that give some good automatic fire. Then go and do what your supposed the do which is drive up to the gate at the port in the van with Ryder, wait for the car to drive in until your clear to jump the wall. once your clear, jump the wall and on your right is a guard, shoot him dead, then shoot the keypad to open the gate. Ryder should come in through the gates in the van.

2nd. When the van backs up to the warehouse/hangar/shed quickly get ready to shoot all the guys inside with a semi auto-matic sub machine gun (tec-9, uzi or SUB) or a automatic rifle (ak47 etc.).

3rd. take control of the forklift, Ryder takes care of most of the army men that come to attack. take the forklift to a box or two and use the button that is the raise it up and down (xbox and PS2 is the right analogue stick). Take each box to the back of the truck. when your box counts get low the guards will start gettin tougher and more will come, use your drive-by abilities to get rid of them.

4th. after getting all the boxes 2 Patiots will start to chase you, get out of the port via bridge and when Ryder tells you to honk the horn to throw a box you honk the horn when the Patriots are atleast 3-4 car lengths behind the van, the boxes are full of explosives so you want to do as much damage to them as possible. Once they backed off a little bit, go to the lock up where the Ryder mission (Home Invasion) ended. Once the van is in the lock up, mission completed, respect +

i tried it just now before i read your advice and ryder got killed coz i was taking my time so ill give it another shot later

Ryder is utterly helpless when it comes to defending himself, so you can't leave him unsupervised for any length of time and expect to beat this mission. Keep a very close eye out for any approaching guards, and bail back to kill them the second you hear gunfire.

just grab a military car and chuck it in front of ryder, it will kepp him from getting shot, and the pistols are weak as piss so they wont easily blow the car up.

i did it in the end, after putting 2 boxes in the truck i got out and gave ryder a hand

I read somewhere it helps if you find vehicles and block the staircases down which some of the soldiers spawn. Like most GTA missions it can seem daunting at first, you just need to think outside the box a bit.

1. jump the wall on the right, shoot the guard from or when you jump down. DON'T shoot the gate panel, yet.
2. shoot the other guards.
3. break/shoot the door control panel.
4. shoot the inside guards.
5. Get the ForkLift and move the four crates inside to the door.
6. Get the two crates that are by the guard you killed outside and move them to the door.
7. NOW break/shoot the GATE control panel.
8. Load the crates into Ryders Truck.
9. Defend Ryder while loading the crates. Jump off the forklift and blast the defending guards as necessary. Some people claim they can shoot/run over the guards while driving the forklift as its bulletproof.

10. [spoiler] Drive back carefuly... the two Patriots will destory themselves in their wild chase after you.
