GoHolden1 over at GTAForums has stated there be a new side mission in Vice City Stories
The new issie of ''Play the Playstation'' was released in Germany and includes a 1 page preview of Vice City Stories. GTA Reactor says the Magazine is the first to write about previews given to the Media at the games convention, Which was in Leipzip last month.
Play the Playstation magazine talks about a new mode in VCS, Empire Building. This an ''interesting'' new side mission sees Vic overtrow ''hoodlums'' and Criminal Organisations that own 30 buildings and businesses across Vice. Once the Business is yours and in your control, You have to invest your money in them and hopefully keep them running and earn money.
I'm not quite sure what is meant by all of this but it sounds like it could add do the gameplay quite alot after tha game has been beaten.
From what I gather though sounds like something similar to The Godfather Game where you extort businesses and Invest in Rackets to get an income per week.

He found this information on GTAReactor which is in German I believe.

Thats cool.
Gives a way to earn money, so i'm not complaining.
Irony is that, we dont even have a clue of his 'built empire' in Vice City'86.

This sounds awesome. The sidemissions need some depth to them. Investing in properties sounds err.. actually exiting:) i really hope money will be of a bigger issue this time. So you really have to do sidemissions and work for that AK or whatever you are buying.

Cool, that sounds ace, like running your own business and stuff. :P Plus, I think they're going to do more things you need to do + complete to get 100%, as with GTA games, R* don't want the players to get bored of the games.

Yea... I noticed that too... and unfortunetly I havn't got the mag
But what the guy said sounded really cool, I really like the idea of employing and arming guards for your business... makes it less frostrating than the gang wars in SA...

That is awesome. We can recruit three gang members. Which is somewhat weird because I didnt know Vic had a gang. I normally only recruited 3 in San Andreas anyway. You know for drive-bys. But I am certailnly wondering who we are going to recruit. Maybe it's like a mercenary gang that you pay to help you out. And if it's not that maybe repect will return

Maybe it's a gang we gain the respect of, notice how a lot of the previews also show the cubans and how they will play a big part in this game, Maybe Vic becomes mates with Umberto and there on you can recruit random cuban members in the streets.

I just read the article (on webcam shots so im rather annoyed but still happy). Ill outline some other stuff you may have missed.
- You can choose were you want to place your business. Ie. If you place a smuggling business near the docks it will be easier to run.
- You can recruit people that work for you to help you out.
- Your guards that you hire to help protect a business will take weight off your shoulders so you can go about storyline missions normally.
- Each business will have certain missions depending on the business. Ie. Collecting depts if its an extortion business.
- Being Vice City isn't about having the most guns and stealing the most cars. Its how you operate your businesses.
- If you dont control all of the whorehouses you wont get as much money out of owning one.
- There are three levels of businesses.. Low, Middle and High Roller. Obviously Low being the easiest and high being the hardest.
- Vic will probably be able to run low businesses by himself but he will have to employ people for high rolling businesses.
- You recieve messages on your pager (instead of a phone call) when a business comes under attack.
- Taking over a business from a gang means that gang is now your rival.
- Theres a completely different mini-game aswell.. GOLF. Which you will do with Gonzales in one mission.
There just some of the main points in the article. Be sure to check the whole thing out.

i hope that its not as annoying as the "your hood is under attack" every ten seconds, so if your in a mission you have to go defend your hood or lose it, which could cost you the mission as well.
also Golf?! haha great! probably very similiar to basketball, I.E. time the O button just right for a hole in one.
What really nudges me is that, after taking over a business - your building will construct in real time. :0

so what like you have to wait an actual month after taking over a building for it to be completed? or is it that it will only be worked on from like 6-19:00 game time. so they wont be working 4 in the morning.

I think the building of it may progress just as your playing the game. Possibly a weeks game time or less. I cant see it taking more than that... That would be silly.
Besides extortion, prostitution and protection - the 4th type I could think of right now, is the gambling i.e. Casinos, betting stores.

And obviously smuggling will be one. Because Gordon mentions Smuggling when he's talking about setting up at the docks and airport. Theres a slip. This game is shaping up to be one hell of a GTA.
All I can hope for is a PS2 port. Or a PSP with the game to appear out of thin air.. Both would work.

I'm going to go with Asif and say that the 5th (smuggling would be 4th) type of business is gambling which brings the total to 5. I think the 6th one might be "waste management" where you take out the trash if you get my drift. I would love to be a hitman, oops, i mean a waste technician, and clean up the city.
On an after thought, I think extortion and protection might be together in one business type because one who collects money through extortion promises to "protect" the paying individual/business. If that individual/business does not pay then they in are in some big trouble. I don't know how they can be seperated unless protection means like a bodyguard business.
If I'm right, we need another 6th business type. Could it be robbery or something? Like we could steal vehicles and sell them like with the car dealership in the previous VC game? Hmmm...
Me gusta tamales.

Calimex i think your spot on with the "Car Dealership", that would be perfect for GTA.
For instantce, you go to the buisness and there's a list of cars that you need to steal, which are alot harder to get then the lists that are at sunshine autos in VC, these cars you cant just find on the street, , these cars are like rich, important peoples cars that you have to steal.
that would be great.
Gamerzworld has now put up the Scans of the whole 4 pages. Here you'll find them.

edit: He used Rapidshare. =(
This is a good way to keep the game alive after you have beaten it. I know i'm gonna play it 24/7

Hah, just after I downloaded it from rapidshare :P
Sounds awesome though.
Hmmm...
Anyways, two comparisons from the scan.
#1.
Location is Little havana, just by the tool shop. Notice that, some billboards are gone!

This one is quite interesting. Taking the building in the background as the reference, the T.U.M.E. should be on the PRAWN ISLAND, a little east to the cinema studio.
