OK i've done all that shit, but now GTA-VC.EXE errors out, what's up?

the ones that need it usually specify.

make sure the wheel exists too

I installed the wheel mod. Still errors, what else do i have to do?
Tinker with the stupid IMG again?
I hope to god someone makes a super EZ car install thingie someday.

Lemme recap what i've done.
Changed the files in the IMG editor, I've backed up all my files, i have also put on the wheel mod, but i know nothing of adding the wheels and shit.

also did you rename the files properly? vc wont work if that shit isnt named right.

for the wheel mod make sure you followed all the directions.
every single one.
if you miss a single thing it wont work.

I don't know if you have it, if you want it gimme an e-mailer and i'll send it it's a 2005 Mustang.
I renamed the Stang.txd to Infernus.txd, and Backed up the old infernus.txd to InfernusBU.txd, same with the .dff files. I imported the new infernus.txd, and removed the old, (IMG) i don't know what else i'm supposed to do.

what? why did you remove it after you renamed?

all you have to do: rename the stang.dff/txd to infernus.*
in gta3.img rename infernus.* to infernus_orig.*
import the new infernus.*
rebuild the archive, if you think it will help

then play.

if it doesnt work, then install dmagics wheel mod. ALL instructions! vc will crash when loading if you dont do it right.

My Game Crashes when i go to start playing the game.
Should i click Start New game or what?

Okay, here's what i got.
Nothing.
I tried to start a brand new game, it errored. Tried to load an old game, Error.
I don't know why i can't get this, If i can master the sims, master Dungeon Keeper, and Master Duke Nukem, hell this should be a snap. But for some odd reason it's not.

ok here is exactly what I did.

Renamed Stang.TXD to Infernus.TXD
Stang.DFF to Infernus.DFF (Both were OUTSIDE IMG editor)
imported to GTA3.IMG
changed the shit in Default.ide
Changed the shit in Carcols.ide
Ran game.
Error.
Lots of cuss words.
Pee.
Check Edgeforums.net
Did i do something wrong there?

actually, vice city is one of the most complicated games ive ever tried to mod. so it should not be a snap.

give me a link to the 05 stang.

i need to see if it uses the wheel mod.

I also got Ford F-150, and Dodge Viper. (Looks like Competition Coupe ***MY FAVORITE***)

I still haven't figured this out yet. i might move my save files, and reinstall GTA:VC so i can start fresh and clean.
