Pro Skater 4

This totally sucks... I tried logging onto THPS 4 online today, and I couldn't connect. Upon various attempts, I did a google search to see what might've happened, and sure enough the whole THPS 4 network has been taken down, mainly due to Gameshark users. This means THUG 1 and THUG 2 only have a short while of online life left, since they're both infested with Gameshack users. They'll probably keep American Wasteland up, since it's currently the latest in the series... but damn, I used to have so much fun with THPS 4 online, and now it's gone. :(

I despise what Gameshack has become. I should send them an angry letter... or something.

at least the single player of THPS4 is still freakin amazing. the pro challenges are the best goals in any of the TH games

yeah i didnt either, the only one i've ever played online was THUG and that was ok, i'm not much of an online gamer, though i love xbox live on 360, they made it so much cooler

I think THPS 4 is the worst Tony Hawks game, even THPS 3 is better. The 4th is harder...

THPS 4 is actually a challenge! In every other Tony Hawk game on the Playstation 2, they line you up exactly where you need to go to complete the goal, so all you have to do is press five buttons and you're done, without even touching the directional pad! In THPS 4, the Alcatraz level gets insanely hard, as do the COMBO goals in the Carnival. I love it. I wonder if they'll bring back difficult goals on THP 8. I heard the entire style of gameplay is different, but that may be just for the Playstation 3 and Xbox360, with the "new engine". They might "dumb it down" for PS2 and PSP like the old Hawk games on the PS1.

i like that scarface didnt like TH4 because it was actually a challenge lol, thats what i'm hoping number 8 is again, because THUG 2 was way too easy, and the goals sucked, it turned into Grand Theft Tony Hawk, cuz u just ran around doing stuff for people. i wish people would stop trying to do the whole 'open world and do the game in whatever order you want to' philosophy in every game. it only works in games like gta, in other games you have to have structure. with tony hawk, the goals should be skating-related, like skate over by that group of reporters and impress them, not hey i dropped all my gear can you go pick it up?

Gameshark is a device used to modify the coding of video games. In other words, it can allow you to cheat in ways not normally possible if you so desire.
