From now on, the game will be known rather less catchily as Canis Canem Edit - Latin for Dog Eat Dog.

Good point. We learned something today:)
They already put out small gameplay vids of the game and trailers so I don't believe they will change the game itself because of this.

Canem wouldn't really mean "dog" in and by itself, though. It's the accusative case of "canis". It'd be fairly odd to name it after the accusative name instead of the nominative.

yeah, you're right, canin is dog, because Canine derives from Canin, and Dog derives from Canine because of the large Canine teeth dogs have

I personally think the name of a game is truly very important. A game name like Grand Theft Auto describes exactly what you do in the game. A game name like Canis Canem Edit. Anyone who isnt Latin isnt going to have a clue what it means. Therefore there less prone to pick up the game and read the back. Where the back explains what the game really is to an extent, the title should be there for people interested in looking at the back.

Have a feeling it'll still stay Bully in America, very unlikely this will stay firm. I'll wait for a GameSpot article for confirmation.
And even if it is changed, who cares? We've all seen enough screenshots and footage to know that this game owns anyways. And for fucks sake, Rockstar Games is developing it. Have they ever let us down?

The game was changed from what it was originally supposed to be like anyway. At first it was said you play as the bully, now you are the one being bullied? This name change, and game change, sucks. It's schools' faults. They don't want the game to influence kids to bully eachother, but the thing they don't realize is, the game will be rated Mature, and unless parents buy the game for their kids, the only players will be 17+ year olds who are out of school or are no longer immature enough to bully.

That's utterly stupid imo. I am not sure in what name this will be available in Asia region. The official site is still carrying the name Bully - so Bully is still my guess for it. :\
