I just bought Saint's Row today, and played a bit on Live. Anyone else got it and interested in making a gang?
I don't have it, but I am curious to know how it is. So.. how is it?

I might, the game's fun but I not sure if I want to give money to people who just literally stole an entire game and edited it a bit.

I'm talking story wise, the game is exactly like SA.
I mean sure people copied Doom's style but I dunno any game that is like it storywise.
Oh, say, being on Mars when demonalienthings attack is very easy to copy when you could just go with a more popular gangster setup that would surely get you at least some money.
I hated SA so even if this directly copied it I could imagine it being better.
This is a comment on games in general. I haven't played Saint's Row yet.
Games these days mis the "OMG" factor. Like, as Perfect Dark on N64's release date krept closer some seven years ago, I got more excited for the game every day. I knew just enough to believe it was going to rock, and I knew little enough to keep it mysterious. I haven't had this with any other game ever since.
How is it that the AI in current games is so much worse than that in games sometimes eight years old? Why have game developers "forgot" this technology? Why does Half-Life have better AI than Half-Life 2, both game smad eby the same developer? How come games were so much more polished than they are now?
Dont forget Mario 64 and Goldeneye they were both classics!!!
I'm getting my copy of Saints Row in a few hours but im still not 100% convinced it will be good.

I would love to make a gang, but school starts next week, and I won't be at my dad's enough to play the Xbox 360. Not willing to pay $60 for a game I will rarely play.
Its an awesome game tbh. And i don't give a shit if it copied a whole line of games.

why would it matter, there are tons of fps games that take place in ww2, like that is any different than a game that is somewhat the same as GTA, imo Saints Row looks like it owns, pity it only gets released on x360

I'm getting a 360 and all...and I'm probably getting this game. But from the screens I've seen, the cars don't look right? Have you noticed anything like that in-game?

Cory, the cars look pretty good in-game. Course, I'm not a car buff like you are, but I'm satisfied with them. :p
How about the handling? Is it really as bad as in the video clips?
It's a bit funky, not like GTA's, but it's still good I think. Takes some getting used to, but it's alright.
Ah, good good. How are you liking those ragdolls and mission?

Are the controls like The way a PS2 GTA game would handle, or more like GTA on Xbox controlls?
I hate using the trigger to drive in gta, so I'm just wondering what it's like for Saints-Row.
P.S If I had this game, I would wanna join your gang, But I can't....

And the ragdolls and missions are excellent. :D
Haha, good to know. Saint's Row got a lot of criticism on the Missions and the way they were structured, so I'm glad I got to here that from someone that owns it, like you.
About the ragdolls, I'd probably just go around and run people over for hours on end. :P

evenin ppl just got the game and im very impressed. the physics behind the bodies are excellent. When you shoot someone the way their body drops is spot on :laugh:
Im up for some online play in a gang :)

Yeah, it's basically just like how the radio stations were set up in San Andreas, although I think you can listen to music while on foot as well, not exactly sure though.
