With me, I love the Dead or Alive series. It's the fastest fighting game I've seen in recent years and it also has a Spartan in it!

Gotta be Tekken. The most simple controls, on the easiest controller. Anyway one can play it, everyone knows the basic moves. The characters are great, largest set of moves than any other fighting game I've ever played. The only thing missing from Tekken 5 is online.

Fuck, that was a hard choice tbh :P but I voted Virtua Fighter. Coz I loved playing it when I had my Sega Saturn, and I got Virtua Fighter 4 for PS2 a few weeks ago, and I'm still a big fan of the game. Tekken and Mortal Kombat are ace tho imo...

Mortal Kombat, definitely. Only the old ones, though.

MORTAL KOMBAT!!!

I agree also. The old ones are a lot better, but the new ones have great environments that you can use to your advantage.

Street Fighter and the "Capcom Vs..."/"... Vs Capcom" series. You can't go wrong with 2D fighting, even nowadays.

Soul Calibar, I'm not too keen on fighters though.
Every game is like exactly the same.

I never got too much into Vandetta, but Def Jam: Fight for NY is by far the best fighting game in existance(imo).

And keep in mind, I hate rap.

Hard choice.. has to be between Street Fighters and the older Mortal Combats. Both were extremely fun and still are fun to this day.

Tekken gets my vote, been playing it since it first came out on the PS1. Love the way the games get better and better and the style of the stages and music, etc.

Yeah, it's my favorite aswell.. Lol I beat the old one but bought the PSP remake just because it owns. Anyway voted Tekken. Out of those Tekken owns the most, then MK. Close 30.34 percent tie!

I have played many different fighting games but Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Tekken and Soul Calibur stick out the most for me. Street Fighter was my first but Mortal Kombat beat it because of the fatilities. Tekken was great because I always wanted a game with it's controls (left punch and kick plus right punch and kick) and I liked the combo throws some characters had. I would have chosen MK but I chose Soul Calibur because I spent like hundreds (literally) of dollars playing with the arcade machine at my school (college). I was really addicted until I finally graduated and I think I was the best at that game comapred to how well I played with the others.

1. Soul Calibur (the correct spelling is Calibur, not Caliber)
2. Mortal Kombat
3. Tekken
4. Street Fighter

I have many reasons but I want to keep it short.
