View Full Version : Nintendo pulls a Sony!! And sonys online is...
Nintendo just announced that their online feature (http://www.nintendorevolution.ca/08162006/12/regg ie_confirms_free_wii_online) will also be free just like Sony's service that was announced earlier this year. So to all these people saying Sony ripped off nintando's controller (even though they're different) it looks like nintendo stole sony's idea (just giving you shit).
Also Sony's Online services (http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/sony/ps3-online-network-up-and-running-internally-195293.php)are up and running internally so the servers will be ready for play that first night and i for one cant wait.
But both could be more site's blowing smoke up our ass!!

Sony didn't steal the idea of motion sensing, and I seriously doubt Nintendo stole any ideas from Sony. Overall, I think they both came up with it independently. Sony was looking into motion sensing ages ago, ever since the release of the PS2, so it's safe to say that nothing was stolen.
Hmm, this is going to put much more pressure on Microsoft to pull out a free online service out of their asses, with online gaming, considering a console half their price is doing it.

Sony (http://forevergeek.com/games/sony_announces_ps3_n etwork_details.php) say the reason that Online will be free is they intend to make their revenue out of content downloads. Also apparently games will be able to run directly from the HDD and Sony will allow developers to set their multiplayer servers as they see fit, giving developers much more freedom.
Its old news but i posted it just incase you hadn't heard.

On topic: I do believe motion sensing was invented way before both Sony and Nintendo included it in their controllers. The idea of using motion sensing in videogames is even older than SNES.
But the fact that both Nintendo and Sony will have free online features, is quite a kick in MS nuts.

Sadly, some people find correct grammar to be way more important than the content of the post on this forum. They just dont realise that there are people from 10 years old here. Not to mention from countries where you dont even learn english in school.
