I've startet 2 Petitions, and hope that you'll sign them too.

Please don't reply that it doesn't help anything. I think its better to try something instead of predjudice it.

Interesting, the second petition is about the 2 kids who fired upon drivers on the highway interstate, I'm definitely against that suing of Take 2, it wasn't Take 2's fault anyway, it was definitely the parents.

its bullshit that some little immature kids who shouldn't play the game in the firstplace are blaming a video game for their actions, the parents are almost as guilty as the kids...they should have taught them right from wrong and not have gotten the game for them if they cant handle it like big boys, who goes out and shoots at cars!! HONESTLY

Its all about the parents, dude, they are the ones who should be pressed chagres against since the kids should have known better since one of them (the oldest teenager, 16) should have set an example for the 14 year old, but it still wasn't their fault since their parents let them.

I just hope Take 2 actually wins the court hearing, the parents have no circumstantial evidence against Take 2 to back-up their case.

Also, the parents should have locked up their guns, or else this highway massacre wouldn't have happened.

besides, in gta its not all about shooting cars. in fact, i almost never shoot cars.

Is it just me, or does playing games such as GTA actually stop you from wanting to shoot real people in the eyes?

Owing to the 'real world' setting and the fact you're not the good guy for a change, I find the game an incredibly accessible source of escapism. And that's exactly what it is, escapism! It relieves stress, it helps me get away from my problems etc. The only reason I play GTA is because I can't do that in real life; that's the whole point! Any rational human being should be able to realise that.

Sure, children are more susceptible to influence, which is exactly why the game is legally marketed towards adults. Playing the game under the legal classification age is the sole responsibility of either the retailers (in the case of underage persons purchasing the game directly) or the parents.

Take 2 are providing entertainment for those mature enough to enjoy it for what it is – a bloody computer game! These blinkered morons with their knee-jerk reactions against the publishers and developers really irk me.

+ a few more for suing on unclear stuff.

the family shouldve sued the kids/parents because the kids did two illegal things - play the game and shoot people.

Anyway, I signed the petition yesterday, I disagree with the suing of Take 2, I just hope te petition helps in some way to support Take 2's case and possibly they won't be filed lawsuits against, we can only hope...

i can understand how the family feels, but why are they blaming the wrong person purposely?

its like tucow kills John Connor. and then i start blaming tarmac for doing all the damages. then tucow, who really committed the crime, doesnt have to suffer anything. he can just say "sorry!" and be all fine. people these days....
